The Los Angeles Times is reporting in their paid subscription area that a lawsuit has been filed against former WWE wrestler, Stone Cold Steve Austin. Austin and his ex-girlfriend, Tess Broussard, had another physical confrontation which transpired earlier this month in a restaurant in Beverly Hills, CA.

Steve Austin decided to break his silence and give his side of the story. Steve Austin and his business manager, George Vrabeck, had planned everything out. They agreed to bring Austin's ex to California, where Austin would give her a 1.5 million dollar check. In exchange, Broussard would have to get out of Austin's life and not pursue any type of legal actions against Austin for any incident that transpired over the past year.

In other words, Austin's plan was to have a nice dinner with her, offer her a check and she gets out of his life forever. But it didn't turn out to be as planned. After they had dinner, Austin had brought her to see George Vrabeck, where he was waiting at another restaurant with the check and had a security guard waiting for him in a car. Once they had arrived there, Tess suddenly had a change of heart and told Austin that she didn't want to break up and that they just had a great night together.

Austin said that Tess Broussard went on top of the table with a steak knife and tried to stab him. That's when everyone got involved. Steve Austin's security guard ended up handcuffing Tess to a chair. Vrabeck had a cut on his left arm and Austin had banged his head on the sidewalk.

Broussard on the other hand had a different story. She said that Austin and his business manager had planned to bring her to the restaurant and stage a fabricated assault. She said that Vrabeck pushed her down while she was sitting on the chair and that some guy came from behind and knocked her down and told her to stay down. Broussard then says that she got handcuffed and that George Vabreck went down and stabbed himself and said "I'm bleeding." Then the bodyguard told her that he had seen her stab him. She said "Obviously I'd been set up. Steve had threatened me, in no uncertain terms, that I'd get screwed over if I didn't drop [a proposed] personal injury suit."

She's suing for 10 million dollars. She also mentions an incident from a few months ago where Austin drove drunk and hit a tree with her in the car and caused her some type of permanent injury. Austin said that he wasn't drunk and he has a police report to prove it.

Tess Broussard is now out on a $30,000 bail. She was indeed arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon (knife). There is a maximum penalty of four years in jail and a $10,000 fine. The court date is on September 1st, 2004.
