WWE Hall Of Fame News (Recap) – What’s Planned & More

UPDATE: Here are some further details for this Saturday night’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony…

— The current WWE Network programming schedule lists this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony running 2 1/2 hours from 9PM until 11:30PM EST. As noted earlier, the show will be archived on the Network and there will also be replays on the 24/7 live stream.

— Mr. T was live-tweeting during Monday night’s RAW, talking about how excited he is and almost being done writing his speech. Hulk Hogan is rumored to induct his WrestleMania 1 tag team partner. Roddy Piper is also rumored as we can confirm that both men have “campaigned” internally to be the one to induct him. Hogan is currently the frontrunner.

— Jake Roberts noted in a a recent interview that he will not have a written speech for the WWE Hall of Fame and plans to “speak from the heart” when he’s on stage.

— One WWE Hall of Famer who will not be in attendance at the Hall of Fame ceremony is legendary ring announcer Howard Finkel. The Fink is booked for a WWE AXXESS signing from 8-10pm.

ORIGINAL: Here are the latest details on Saturday’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony…

* There will be a red carpet special on the WWE Network from 8PM ET to 9PM ET, which will be hosted by Michael Cole and Renee Young. This will be like a Golden Globes/Oscars deal, where they will interview stars and guests as they enter the event.

* The Hall of Fame Ceremony will air in full from 9PM ET through 11:30PM ET on the WWE Network. We’ll have live coverage here on the website.

* Michael Cole will host the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday night.

* The Ultimate Warrior (headliner), Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Carlos Colon, Lita, Paul Bearer, Razor Ramon and Mr. T are all set to be inducted. Linda McMahon will induct The Ultimate Warrior. DDP will induct Jake “The Snake” Roberts while Trish Stratus will induct Lita. Primo, Epico and Carlito will induct Carlos Colon. It’s rumored that Paul Bearer’s sons will induct him but that is not confirmed as of this writing. Hulk Hogan is rumored to induct Mr. T although that could be changed to Roddy Piper. That looks unlikely as of now though. No word on who will induct Razor Ramon but the speculation is Kevin Nash or Shawn Michaels.
