TNA Lockdown 2014

TNA Lockdown opens with a shot from earlier in the day of World Champion Magnus making his way into the building in Miami, Florida, the site of tonight’s show. That’s followed up by Samoa Joe entering the arena earlier in the day. We then get the usual kick-ass opening video package, with highlights of all the history leading into the top feuds, all of which culmninate in steel cage matches tonight.

After the video package, Mike Tenay welcomes us to the 2014 edition of TNA’s Lockdown pay-per-view. We then quickly head to the ring, with Christy Hemme introducing the first match.

Bad Influence & Chris Sabin vs. Sanada, Yasu & The Great Muta

Out first are Bad Influence, the tag-team of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. Both guys come out in Japanese-style outfits, complete with masks. Their tag-team partner for tonight, Chris Sabin, is out next. Their opponents, X-Division Champion Sanada, along with Yasu and The Great Muta make their way to the ring. Highlights are shown of Sanada winning the X-Division Championship during his entrance.

The bell rings and Chris Sabin and Sanada start things off for their respective teams. Sanada goes to work on the arm of Sabin straight out of the gate. Sabin reverses the tide and is putting the boots to Sanada on the mat. The crowd are already getting going with the chants as the pace picks up between Sanada and Sabin. Lots of quick reversals and pin attempts from both guys as Mike Tenay puts over Sanada as a big deal.

Sanada makes the tag to Yasu and Sabin tags in Kazarian. The fans break out in a “we want Muta” chant as Kazarian establishes control over his Japanese opposition. Yasu gets Kazarian in a headlock and makes the tag to The Great Muta. Muta comes in firing away with quick kicks as the crowd explodes for the Japanese legend. Kazarian makes the tag to Daniels. Muta quickly goes to work on Daniels. Muta sprays the mist in the air and the crowd pops.

Muta makes the tag to Yasu and Kazarian is brought back into the contest. Yasu blasts Kazarian with some kicks. Daniels distracts Yasu, allowing his Bad Influence teammate to regain control of the offense. Kazarian tags in Daniels. Daniels, along with Sabin, come in and the trio triple-teams Yasu briefly. Daniels tags in Sabin after only being the legal man for a few seconds. Sabin chokes Yasu with his boot in the corner. Muta tries to come to his partner’s aid, which ties the referee up long enough to allow Bad Influence and Sabin to triple-team Yasu once again.

Daniels hits a big moonsault on Yasu for a near fall. Taz puts over Muta being one of the innovators of the moonsault, questioning what Muta thinks of Daniels’ version of the move he helped make popular in America. Bad Influence and Sabin hit a three-way dropkick on Yasu. Both teams make a tag and now Sanada and Daniels are the legal men. Sanada takes the hot tag and is flying all over the place, blasting each member of the Bad Influence/Sabin team with high-paced offense. The crowd comes alive as Sanada continues to fly all over the place. After some double-team action from the heels, Muta is tagged in. The crowd explodes once again for Muta.

Muta comes in, as well as everyone else in the match. There are bodies everywhere. Muta goes for a figure four leglock, but Bad Influence run in to break it up. Muta sprays the mist out of nowhere and then tags Sanada back in. Muta hits a shining wizard as Sanada goes to the top rope. Sanada hits a big moonsault on Daniels and pins him. 1-2-3. Muta sprays a different colored mist to celebrate the victory. The crowd broke out into a brief “this is awesome” chant, by the way, as the match was finishing up.

Winners: Sanada, Yasu & The Great Muta

Rockstar Spud & Dixie Carter Promo

Rockstar Spud comes out, to the surprise of Mike Tenay and Taz. Spud enters the ring and hops on the mic. The crowd boo’s him. Spud says as our Chief of Staff he’s here to introduce his queen, and all of ours, Madam Dixie Carter.

Dixie comes out to the top of the stage and the crowd boo’s and chants something. Dixie talks trash about James Storm a bit as the crowd drowns her out with loud boo’s. Dixie talks about MVP and the angle for surrounding tonight’s main event as the crowd chants “you suck Dixie.” She concludes by talking about how she went to New York to get something or someone to ensure her team will get the victory later tonight. Awful, awful promo segment.

Backstage With Jeremy Borash

Backstage, Jeremy Borash talks with one of the Knockouts, as well as Eric Young. They run down some of the interactive Twitter stuff they’re doing for the show.

Mr. Anderson vs. Samuel Shaw

The video package highlighting the history of the Mr. Anderson and Samuel Shaw feud, with the Christy Hemme involvement, etc., is shown to hype up the next match here at Lockdown.

Jeremy Borash, stepping in for Christy Hemme, introduces Samuel Shaw first. Mike Tenay talks about how this is an escape the cage match. Shaw makes his way to the ring as Taz talks about how creepy and dangerous Shaw is. Shaw grabs a mic before heading into the ring. Shaw climbs up to the top of the cage and sits down. He starts by saying “Christy where are you?” The fans in Miami get on Shaw’s case with chants. Shaw says if Christy doesn’t come out here he’s going to “end it all.” Shaw stands on top of the cage and then Mr. Anderson’s music plays.

Anderson comes out saying “whoa, whoa whoa.” He tells Shaw to hang on a second. Anderson reaches up and the mic drops from the ceiling. Anderson does his usual self-introduction stuff. Anderson tells Shaw he doesn’t wanna jump off that thing, referring to the cage that he’s standing on. He says it’s not high enough, he won’t be ending it all he’ll just twist his ankle or something. He says he needs at least four or five stories to pull it off. He tells him to come down from there so he can beat him up a little bit. Anderson asks the fans if they want him to beat him up a little bit. The crowd breaks out into a “Yes!” chant. Anderson gets the fans to chant “creepy bastard” at Shaw.

Anderson’s music starts playing again, he takes his shirt off and he heads to the ring. Shaw is standing on the top rope now as the bell rings to make this one official. Tenay again points out that this is an escape the cage rules match. Anderson goes to work on Shaw as Christy Hemme makes her way down to ringside. Shaw catches Anderson running into the corner with a big boot to slow his momentum down. Anderson goes for the Mic Check but Shaw blocks it. Anderson hits a gut-wrench suplex on Shaw as Taz points out that it’s a Billy Robinson original move. He then talks about the unfortunate passing of Robinson. Shaw knocks Anderson down and begins to climb the cage.

We see a shot of Hemme looking on as Shaw continues his climb. Shaw gets one leg over the top of the cage, but then Anderson makes it up to stop him from escaping. The two trade punches. Shaw smashes Anderson’s face into the cage. And again. And a third time, which drops him down to the mat. Shaw climbs back over the top of the cage again, but again Anderson stops him. This time Anderson smashes Shaw’s face into the cage repatedly. This time both guys knock each other off the cage. Both guys are laid out in the middle of the ring. The “creepy bastard” chants start up again as Shaw gets back to his feet. Shaw asks the referee to open the door. Anderson rams into Shaw from behind, which blasts Shaw into the cage door, knocking Earl Hebner to the floor.

Anderson hits Shaw with his Mic Check finisher. The announcers point out that because Hebner was knocked out, and since he had the key, the only way these guys can escape now is by going over the top of the cage and out to the floor. Anderson hits Shaw with his finisher again. Christy is shown smiling and cheering Anderson on. Anderson climbs out to the floor, but Shaw grabs Hemme through the cage. Tenay says Anderson has this match won but now he’s got to save Hemme. Shaw pulls Hemme into the ring through the cage. He slowly closes in on Christy. Christy slaps him. Anderson finally makes it into the ring. He turns Shaw around and blasts him with a big punch. Hemme runs out of the cage. Shaw low-blows Anderson from behind. Shaw locks Anderson in his choke finisher. Shaw chokes out Anderson as we see Christy running to the back. Shaw walks out of the cage door and hits the floor. Hebner calls for the bell. I guess Hebner didn’t see Anderson climb out of the cage earlier. So, Shaw wins.

Backstage: Team Dixie Argues

Backstage, we see Team Dixie arguing. Bobby Roode says he’s the captain of the team so what he says goes. Roode walks off as the rest of the guys bicker a little bit more.

Ethan Carter III vs. Bobby Lashley

We see highlights of Ethan Carter III injuring Kurt Angle on Impact. EC3 then makes his way to the ring. His music fades and he jumps on the mic.

EC3 talks about having a dream. He says when he was a young wrestler he always wanted to face the best. He talks about Kurt Angle winning an Olympic gold medal and being the only person to do that and then transition into pro wrestling. He calls Angle one of the best wrestlers of all time. He says he also happens to be one of the best wrestlers of all time. The fans chant “you can’t wrestle” at EC3. He says “I disagree.” He says he’s very good.

EC3 says he’s issuing an open challenge to anyone on the TNA roster. EC3 tells the fans not to try and hijack “this show.” Some music hits and out comes Bobby Lashley. Lashley comes out and will be the man to face EC3 in his open challenge. EC3 complains as Lashley makes his way to the ring, claiming that Lashley isn’t on the TNA roster. The fans chant “Bobby, Bobby.”

EC3 tries to take a cheap shot but Lashley ducks it, scoops him up and hits a running powerslam. Lashley spears EC3 when he gets up. EC3 runs out of the cage. Lashley’s music plays. I guess that means Lashley wins? I don’t know.

Winner: Bobby Lashley

Manik vs. Tigre Uno

After a quick backstage promo by Magnus, we shoot back live into the arena and Manik makes his way down to the ring. Out next is his opponent for tonight, Tigre Uno. Mike Tenay points out that this is Tigre Uno’s TNA debut, and puts him over as one of the biggest risk-takers in the game today.

The bell rings and the two masked wrestlers lock up. Tenay puts over Tigre as one of the premiere stars from the AAA promotion in Mexico, and notes that he was trained by Rey Mysterio, the uncle of Rey Mysterio Jr. Meanwhile, these two are flipping and flying all over the place. The crowd claps as a sign of respect for these two little guys providing some great, fast-paced action.

Manik does a headstand in the corner and then transitions into a huricanrana on Tigre. Both guys fight on the top rope, with Tigre smashing Manik’s face into the cage to knock him down to the mat. Tigre slpashes onto Manik off the ropes. Manik dropkicks Tigre while he was on the top rope, which accidentally knocks the cage door open. Both guys are down. Tigre misses a big move and ends up smashing himself into the cage.

Manik hits Tigre with a big suplex and rolls through, ala Eddie Guerrero, and hits him with another one. Manik goes for the pin but Tigre kicks out at two. Taz points out that this match must end via pinfall or submission. Manik locks Tigre in a surfboard submission hold. Manik eventually escapes, but is blasted by a flying spin-kick from Tigre.

Both guys go to the top rope. Manik knocks Tigre down and then hits him with a big missile dropkick. Manik hits a sit-out power bomb for a near fall. Tigre goes for a cradle suplex, dropping Manik right on the top of his head. Tigre hits what Tenay calls a sabertooth splash. 1-2-3. Tigre Uno wins.

Winner: Tigre Uno

James Storm vs. Gunner

We see a video package highlighting the history of the James Storm and Gunner feud. Their one-on-one Last Man Standing match is up next. After the video package, we shoot back live into the arena and Jeremy Borash introduces James Storm. Storm makes his way to the ring. Out next is his opponent, Gunner.

As soon as Gunner comes out, Storm attacks him on the stage. They battle down to ringside and are going at it outside the ring. Both guys continue fighting outside the ring as the ref tries to get them to take the battle into the ring. Gunner throws Storm shoulder-first into the steel ring steps. A “let’s go Gunner” chant breaks out as Gunner throws a couple of steel chairs into the ring. Storm turns the tide and slams Gunner into the steel steps. Storm slams the cage door into Gunner’s face.

Storm and Gunner finally enter the ring. The bell sounds to make this one official. The referee begins his ten count on Gunner, but Gunner manages to get up. Storm wedges a chair in the corner of the ring. Gunner blasts Storm with a big clothesline. Storm hits a jumping DDT on Gunner off the middle rope. Storm tells the referee to count. Storm interupts the count by choking Gunner with the tag-rope from the corner.

Storm continues to dominate Gunner. Storm starts slamming Gunner’s head into the turnbuckle. They start to have no effect, as Gunner no-sells them and then slams his own head into the turnbuckle repeatedly as he fires up the intensity and starts beating up Storm. Gunner nails Storm with a big piece of steel, which Tenay describes as a part of the steel steps. The referee begins his count on Storm but Storm is able to get back to his feet.

Gunner keeps punching Storm and yelling at him to “stay down.” Storm ends up reversing a Gunner move attempt and rams him head-first into the steel chair that was wedged in the corner of the ring earlier on. The referee begins his count on Gunner after that. Gunner barely makes it to his feet, standing up at the count of nine. Storm smashes a steel chair over the head of Gunner. The referee does another count, and again Gunner barely makes it back to his feet.

Gunner hits the ropes and then turns Storm inside-out with a huge spear. The referee begins his count on Storm now. A loud “this is awesome” chant breaks out as Storm slowly makes it back to his feet. Storm reaches for a chair but Gunner stands on his hand to stop him. Gunner slams Storm down back-first onto the chair. Gunner goes to the top rope. He comes flying off but on his way down Storm hits him with a chair. We see some replays of that. Gunner manages to make it back to his feet by the count of nine.

Storm slams a chair across the back of Gunner to knock him back down. Storm unfolds a chair and sets it up. He does the same with another, so now two chairs are set up side-by-side. Both guys climb to the top rope. Each guy takes a turn smashing the others head into the cage. Gunner gets the better of the exchange and starts blasting Storm with headbutts. Gunner hits a top-rope superplex on Storm, and Storm’s back crashes through the two chairs that were previously set up. That was insane. Both guys are down and the referee begins his count. We get the Rocky II finish as Gunner barely makes it to his feet by the count of ten. Since Storm was still down when he made it back up, Gunner gets the win.

TNA Knockouts Championship
Madison Rayne (c) vs. Gail Kim

The video package documenting the history of the Gail Kim and Madison Rayne feud airs. Our TNA Knockouts Championship match is up next. Mike Tenay runs down the tale of the tape to hype up the first of two title matches here at TNA Lockdown. Jeremy Borash does his introductions. Out first is Gail Kim. Kim is accompanied by Lei’D Tapa. After that, the TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne makes her way to the ring.

The bell rings and Gail Kim immediately tries to escape the cage. Rayne yanks her down and goes to work on her. Kim quickly turns the tide and is now in control of the offense here in the early goings of this Knockouts Championship contest. Both girls climb the cage. Madison gets her legs wrapped around Kim’s head, who is underneath her, and humps the cage, slamming her face-first into the cage repeatedly. Kim crashes down to the canvas as a result.

The ladies trade shots, with Kim getting the better of it. Kim slams Madison into the cage and then chokes her with her boot on the mat as LeiD Tapa yells at her from outside the cage. Madison tries fighting back with punches but Kim knocks her down with a big kick. Kim throws Madison into the corner and hits a big Sting-like splash on her. Kim nails Madison with a back-breaker across her knee and then leaves her draped across her knee so she can stretch her back out some more.

Kim charges Madison in the corner, but Madison moves and Kim flies through the ropes and crashes into the cage. Some replays are shown of that spot as Madison starts getting in some offense for the first time since the beginning of the match. Madison drops Kim with a big kick to the back of the head. We see Lei’D Tapa shouting words of encouragement to Kim as Madison continues her attack. Madison misses a move on Kim and smashes into the cage as a result. Kim climbs to the top rope. Madison goes up after her. Kim grabs Madison and jumps off with a big neckbreaker type move. Both girls crash down the mat hard. That was pretty crazy.

Kim tries to pin Madison after that spot, but the champion manages to get her shoulder up at two. Both girls climb to the top rope again. Madison knocks Kim off and Kim gets choked on the top rope on the way down. Madison comes off the top rope with a big spear on Kim. Madison covers Kim. 1-2-3. Madison gets the pin and retains her title.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Magnus (c) vs. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe cuts a promo backstage. He runs down the history of their relationship and talks about how he helped bring Magnus into the fold and establish him as a top star in pro wrestling. Samoa Joe says he’s going to teach Magnus a lesson tonight. After that, a video package airs to further document the history between Samoa Joe and Magnus. After the video package wraps up, Samoa Joe’s music hits. Joe makes his way to the ring to a big pop. On commentary, Mike Tenay points out that this is a Joe’s rules match, meaning it can only end via knockout or submission. After Joe finishes his entrance, the reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus makes his way out to a round of boo’s from the fans in Miami.

After both guys make their entrances, Jeremy Borash does the formal introductions for this World Championship contest. The fans are already passionately chanting for Samoa Joe. The referee holds the belt up to show everyone what these two are fighting for and then the bell rings to make this match official. The “Joe’s gonna kill you” chants break out as each guy circles the other. The chants get to Magnus so he plays to the crowd a bit as Joe sits back and waits to get this one underway. Joe blasts Magnus with some leg kicks early on. Magnus seems tentative to engage with Joe, but then finally nails him with some boots to the gut and takes him down to the mat with a headlock takedown.

Both guys work their way back to their feet and Joe starts going to work on the arm of the champ. The fans break out in a “Joe, Joe, Joe” chant as the Samoan submission machine continues to soften up the arm and shoulder area of the champion. Magnus fights back with some punches and kicks and takes Joe back to the mat with a headlock. Joe fights back and starts blasting Magnus with chops. Joe gets Magnus in the corner and knocks him on his ass. While seated, Magnus receives some more chops from Joe in the corner. Joe starts stomping away at Magnus in the corner over and over again. Back on their feet, Joe fires away at Magnus with punches and then hits him with an inverted atomic drop.

Magnus fights back and gets control of Joe. Magnus works over Joe in the corner as the fans get on the champ’s case with chants once again. Joe reverses the momentum and slams Magnus face-first into the steel cage. He does the same on the other side of the ring/cage. Now Joe grabs Magnus by the back of his head and repeatedly smashes him face-first into the cage. Joe runs and launches himself into Magnus, smashing Magnus’ body into the cage hard. The announcers point out that Magnus is now busted open as a result of Joe slamming his face into the cage. Joe punches away at Magnus to open the cut even further. Now Joe starts biting at Magnus’ face to split the cut open even wider.

Joe snapmares Magnus down and then chops him in the back of the head. Joe drops a big knee on the champ and is now working over Magnus on the ground. Joe headbutts Magnus repeatedly. Magnus turns the tide on Joe and hits him with a big running knee. Magnus follows that up by slamming Joe face-first into the steel cage. Now Joe is split open. Joe and Magnus are both bleeding now.

Magnus locks Joe in a figure four leg lock on the ground. The blood streams down Joe’s face as the fans chant “let’s go Joe,” trying to encourage him to fight out of the submission hold that he is stuck in. Joe manages to turn over, and now the figure four leg lock is working against the champ. The hold is broken and now both guys get back to their feet. Magnus takes Joe down with a drop toehold and locks him in a camel clutch submission hold. Taz puts over The Iron Sheik as Magnus wrenches back harder on the camel clutch. Joe powers out of the hold eventually. Magnus locks Joe in a sleeper hold, but Joe suplexes his way out of it. Both guys are down now as the referee begins his double-count.

Both guys make it back to their feet. They exchange punches. The fans chant “yes” everytime Joe lands one, and “boo” everytime Magnus connects. Joe hits a back splash on Magnus and the crowd is coming alive in Miami. “Joe, Joe, Joe” chants break out as Joe catches the champ coming off the ropes with a big powerslam. Joe transitions that directly into a cross armbreaker, ala Alberto Del Rio. The blood is streaming down both guys faces as Magnus finally fights his way out of the submission attempt by the challenger.

Joe sets Magnus on the top rope. Tenay says Joe is setting Magnus up for the Muscle Buster. Magnus kicks away at Joe from the top rope. He drops him with a big kick and then comes off the top rope with a flying elbow drop. Both guys get back to their feet and now Joe is firing up on offense. Joe starts open-hand smacking Magnus in the face all the way across the ring.

Joe puts Magnus on the top rope again. Joe blasts Magnus with a huge Muscle Buster. Joe follows that up by locking Magnus in his rear-naked choke. He’s got him locked in the submission hold in the center of the ring. Out of nowhere, we see a hand break through the canvas from under the ring. The hand grabs Joe and pulls him down into the ring. Joe disappears from view now as a “holy sh*t” chant breaks out. Magnus slowly crawls over to the hole in the ring with a confused look on his face. We see an arm pop up in the hole in the ring. Joe climbs out of the hole with a vicious, enraged look on his face.

Joe slowly walks over to Magnus in Frankenstein style. Magnus looks shocked and scared. Joe grabs Magnus by the throat with one hand. Joe turns around and we see Abyss standing in the ring with a barbed wire baseball bat. Abyss blasts Joe with the bat, or Janice, I should say. Abyss nails Joe with his Blackhole Slam finisher. Now Abyss turns his attention to the champ. The fans chant “you sold out” as Magnus begins to smile. Abyss shakes his head in approval at Magnus. Magnus walks over and locks Joe in his own rear-naked choke. Tenay points out that Magnus is trying to beat Joe with his own move, in his own Joe’s rules match. The fans chant “Joe, Joe, Joe” but eventually Joe is choked unconscious. The referee calls for the bell and this one is over.

Winner and STILL TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Magnus

Backstage: Dixie Carter, Mystery Phone Call & Bobby Roode

Backstage, we see Dixie Carter on the phone with someone. She makes sure that whoever she’s talking to understands when exactly she wants them to come in. Bobby Roode walks in and he and Dixie argue and bicker back-and-forth a bit. They each tell the other not to screw this up. Roode tells Dixie he’ll see her in the ring and then walks off.

Lethal Lockdown
Team MVP vs. Team Dixie

The video package airs documenting the build up to this match, which will serve as the main event for tonight’s TNA Lockdown pay-per-view. After the video package, Jeremy Borash does the formal introductions and explains the rules of a Lethal Lockdown match. After that, he introduces the first participant of Team Dixie. Out comes Austin Aries. Borash then introduces participant number one for Team MVP, which is MVP himself. MVP, the hometown boy from Miami, comes out in a Miami Hurricanes jersey.

After all of the introductions and ring entrances, the bell rings to make our pay-per-view main event official. The fans immediately break out in a “MVP” chant as MVP gets in Aries’ face. Each guy points their finger in the other’s face and then Aries cheap shots MVP. MVP fights back with some punches and then floors Aries with a big boot to the face. MVP misses a big boot to the face in the corner, and now Aries takes control of the offense. Aries goes to work on MVP in the center of the ring and then taunts the fans in Miami.

Aries misses a spot off the top rope and MVP capitalizes with a big suplex. MVP plays to his hometown fans, but in doing so, Aries manages to regain control of the offense. Aries hits a running dropkick to the face of MVP in the corner. Aries misses a follow up attempt and now MVP goes back to work on Aries. The fans break out into another “MVP” chant. MVP blasts Aries with some elbows to the face on the ground, MMA style. Aries escapes an armbar attempt by MVP on the ground and then dropkicks him in the face.

The countdown clock appears and now Team Dixie is about to get control with the two-on-one advantage. Robbie E. comes out as the next member of Team Dixie. MVP is now in a one-on-two situation, with Aries and Robbie E. eventually using the numbers game to their advantage to take control of the offense. Both guys go to work on the hometown boy. The countdown clock appears again and it’s time to find out who’s coming out next for Team MVP.

Out next is Eddie Edwards. The Wolves team member enters the cage and is exploding with offense to help MVP get back into the match. Now that things are evened up, two-on-two, the babyfaces are back in control. Edwards blasts Aries with a bunch of chops and then turns him inside-out with a big clothesline. Edwards is flying all over the place. MVP goes to work on Aries in the corner as Edwards beats up Robbie E. on the other side of the ring. The fans break out into an “Eddie Edwards” chant as he continues to hit some high-risk, fast-paced offense on the Bro Mans team member.

The countdown clock appears again and now Team Dixie will go back to a numbers-game advantage. The other member of the Bro Mans, Jesse Godderz, joins his Team Dixie members in the ring. The 3-on-2 advantage comes into play immediately as Team Dixie takes over control of the offense. The Bro Mans hit some double-team spots on Edwards while Aries works over MVP in the corner of the ring. Team Dixie is in firm control of the match at this point, easily having their way with MVP and Eddie Edwards.

After a few minutes with a 3-on-2 advantage, the countdown clock appears again. Out next, representing Team MVP, is Davey Richards. The other member of The Wolves makes his way to the ring, with his shoulder still heavily taped up to sell the injuries he suffered at the latest edition of Impact Wrestling. With the numbers game back even with it being 3-on-3 again, Team MVP is regaining control of the match. “F ’em up Davey, F’em up” chants break out, only the fans in Miami didn’t censor themselves the way I just did. The Wolves are flying all over the place, hitting a bunch of crazy double-team moves on The Bro Mans. Meanwhile, MVP is beating up Aries in the corner of the ring.

Out next, following the countdown clock winding down, is the captain of Team Dixie, Bobby Roode. Roode enters the cage and now the heels are back in a numbers game advantage, as they are four members in for Team Dixie and only three for Team MVP. Roode and MVP exchange punches in the center of the ring, with Roode eventually getting the better of things. Roode hits MVP with a big spinebuster and now Team Dixie is taking over control of the match once again. Roode, as the freshest competitor in the match, is helping Team Dixie dominate all three members of Team MVP with relative ease.

Even though we were told that no one else was left in the match, the countdown clock appears again. When it reaches out, Willow’s titan tron video and theme music plays. The lights go out. When they come back on, Willow is standing on the top of the cage. He comes flying off with a big splash. Borash announces that the Lethal Lockdown portion of this match begins. The cage top lowers with the weapons. Mike Tenay points out that from this point on, there must be a pinfall or submission to officially end this match.

Dixie Carter ends up coming out. She wants to introduce us to the special referee for the rest of the match, and her insurance policy. Out comes Bully Ray. The members of Team MVP look shocked as Bully Ray slowly makes his way to the ring. Ray finally enters the cage and now the action resumes between Team Dixie and Team MVP. It’s four-on-four, with Bobby Roode, Austin Aries and The Bro Mans representing Team Dixie, and MVP, Willow and The Wolves representing Team MVP. Bully Ray is in as Dixie’s “insurance policy.” Let the Lethal Lockdown begin!

The weapons immediately come into play, as almost everyone has a weapon of some kind. We see a close up of Richards stuck in a cross-face by Roode. Ray gets in his face and asks him if he wants to give up. All of the members of Team Dixie have all of the members of Team MVP in headlocks, leaving only Richards stuck in the cross-face by Roode. Eventually the Team MVP members break free and help Richards. MVP hits his “Ballin'” spot on Aries. Team Dixie starts to regain control of the offense, as the four of them dominate the four members of Team MVP. The Wolves start fighting back, and now they hit a bunch of double-team moves to give Team MVP the offensive control once again.

The Wolves stuff Aries in a trash can and each go to the top rope on opposite sides of the ring. They both fly off the top, doing a coast-to-coast spot on Aries in the trash can. The fans break out in a “this is awesome” chant. Richards sits Aries on a set-up chair and starts kicking the crap out of him while he’s sitting there. Richards hits Aries with a suplex on the open chair. The pin attempt is broken up, however. We see Dixie Carter and Rockstar Spud looking on from the top of the stage. Willow hits a Twist Of Fate on one of the members of The Bro Mans. Willow hits the Swanton off the top. He goes for the pin but it’s broken up. The announcers are getting on Bully Ray’s case for only counting to two on the pin attempt, but it was legitimately broken up by a member of Team Dixie.

Roode sets up a table in the ring. Roode goes to put someone through the table, but Bully Ray stands in front of him and refuses to move. Roode flips out. Ray ends up hitting Roode with his finisher. Dixie and Rockstar Spud are shown flipping out at the top of the stage. MVP hits his big kick on Roode. Ray counts the pin. 1-2-3. Team MVP wins.

After The Match

Bully Ray raises the hand of MVP. We see Dixie Carter and Rockstar Spud freaking out at the top of the stage as Bully Ray and the members of Team MVP celebrate their victory in the ring. Mike Tenay and Taz on commentary put over Dixie’s “insurance policy” turning on her. Team MVP goes up to the top of the stage and mock Dixie Carter to her face. Dixie and Rockstar come to the ring, where Bully Ray is still standing. Dixie shrieks and yells at Ray as Ray simply stands there. Taz again calls it “the ultimate double-cross” by Bully Ray. The music cuts off. Bully Ray powerbombs Bobby Roode through the table. Ray poses to the fans in Miami as his music plays. There’s bodies laying everywhere in the ring, Dixie and Rockstar Spud are freaking out, and Bully Ray stands tall in the ring. TNA Lockdown goes off the air on that note.
