— Indy star Joey Ryan is continuing to tweet about his previous talks with WWE. On Wednesday, he tweeted the following:
“In August, William Regal brought up the idea of me moving to FL to be a NXT trainer at the Performance Center but I want to wrestle still so I did the tryout instead. I’d rather have Regal’s respect and recognition than anybody else in the WWE.”
There were reportedly some negative feelings when WWE failed to acknowledge the recent passing of Nelson Frazier Jr. (aka Mabel, Viscera, and Big Daddy V) on TV for the February 21 episode of WWE SmackDown and the February 24 episode of RAW. While WWE did later air an “In Memory Of” graphic on the February 28 episode of SmackDown, the mention was considered somewhat late, considering TNA mentioned him on February 20. There are also people who feel that the graphic should have aired on their flagship show – RAW.
Cassandra Frazier, Nelson’s widow, was reportedly upset with the WWE for failing to mention his name or acknowledge his passing in a timely fashion, but has since apologized and cited the stress of the week. She stated, “I lost my best friend and the only man I ever loved, and I was very angry. Please forgive me and also to your fans, he was a good man, and he loved Vince, Stephanie and Triple H.” Everyone grieves in their own way and that’s their right.
