ORIGINAL: Cliff Compton suffered a concussion during his street fight against Kevin Steen at the ROH 12th Anniversary show. He was originally supposed to do the TV tapings yesterday but was changed up so he didn’t have a physical role due to the concussion.
The concussion happened when Compton hit his head doing a dive to the outside.
UPDATE: Here are some backstage notes from last night’s ROH 12th Anniversary show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the National Guard Armory:
* Cliff Compton “had his bell rung” in his street fight with Kevin Steen. He was okay when the match was over. There were no other major injures.
* As previously reported, Scarlett Bordeauxx replaced Bobby Cruise as ring announcer for the night. Cruise missed the show due to flight problems in the Northeast.
* After the show was over, ROH had a cake to celebrate the anniversary, arranged by Joe Koff. Hunter Johnson thanked everyone for their hard work on the show and in the company. Johnson also thanked Koff and Cary Silkin.
* Tiger Hatori was backstage visiting at last night’s show.
* Prince Nana was not at the show, although he is one of the only people on the roster (other than the Briscoes and Steve Corino) who was on the first show. He simply wasn’t booked for the event.
