More On Mickie James’ Backstage Heat, Ultimate Warrior-WWE

» It was reported this past September that the lawsuit Warrior (a.k.a. Ultimate Warrior) had filed against World Wrestling Entertainment in January 2006 regarding its DVD release on him, Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior, was thrown out. Judge Douglas L. Rayes ruled that Warrior could not sue for damages over the company’s comments towards him on the title because he had made “publicly disparaging claims” against WWE (on his website). It was also ruled that Warrior would have to pay WWE’s attorney costs and expenses in defending themselves against his breach of contract lawsuit — a total of $18,967.46. In an update on the situation, both sides later came to the judge and said the case had been resolved, with World Wrestling Entertainment waiving Warrior’s near $19,000 legal bill. That seems to indicate that the two sides agreed to some sort of terms and may be ‘friendly’ again. There are Hall of Fame rumors concerning Warrior but that has not been confirmed as of this writing.

» As seen last week on SmackDown!, Mickie James was introduced to Michelle McCool’s personalized version of “Old McDonald,” a video designed to degrade the curvaceous SmackDown! Diva with its starring character “Piggy James.” For those wondering, the segment was indeed designed to send a message to the multi-time women’s champion. WWE brass aren’t happy with James venturing outside of the company for her country music aspirations as they believe she’s heading down the same path as the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” and Stacy Keibler, who let their outside endeavors overtake their commitments to the company. Additionally, company officials have not been pleased with James’ weight in recent months, which was another reason for the degrading segment. It should be noted that Mickie was told about the segment earlier in the day and they rehearsed it prior to the show.
