— The February 8 “Black, Gold and Extreme” Extreme Rising show in Pittsburgh, PA will feature the first singles match in eight years between champion Stevie Richards and Sabu.
— Jay Bradley is back with the promotion, which was set to give him a big push before TNA signed him. Now that he has been released, he is on all shows in the future and will fight Papadon on February 8.
— There have been some issues with local promotion for the February 8 show. Matt Hardy was advertised for the show but he won’t be there, which the promotion has acknowledged. When the promotion put up posters for the show in the local area, the posters had a date of March 1, which is their Philadelphia return at the former ECW Arena. They asked local fans to use a marker to change the date if they found a poster.
This led to Shane Douglas bashing promoter Steve O’Neill in a video on Facebook. He said: “this is what happens when you let an a**** from Philadelphia” promote”. He then ripped down and tore up a poster. Douglas left the promotion last year after various issues.
— Matt “M-Dogg 20” Cross and Gregory Iron will both debut on February 8.
— The show will also include Crowbar vs Rhino in a Falls Count Anywhere match, Luke Hawx vs. Rich Ortiz, Facade vs. Matt Cross, BLK OUT vs. Da Hit Squad, plus Balls Mahoney, Robbie Mireno, Jake Manning, Blue Meanie and more.
— With the TV show being delayed, the promotion will release their Philadelphia return on DVD soon. You can find more details here.
