Steven Siler vs. Darren Elkins
Round 1
Elkins steps inside to throw punches at the longer Siler, who responds with leg kicks inside. More aggressive combo punching from Elkins and now he shoves Siler into the fence with an underhook. Elkins gets the body lock and spins Siler to the floor, quickly passing to side control. Siler gets his guard back and throws punches from his back, but it’s Elkins posturing up and scoring the heavy shots on top. Elkins grabs a guillotine from half-guard, loses it as Siler tries to scramble back to his feet, but is able to keep Siler on the ground. Another guillotine attempt from Elkins and now he pulls guard in an attempt to finish. Siler gets out of danger by peeling the wrists but finishes the round on his back.
Round 2
Elkins has Siler back on the ground within 30 seconds and quickly starts working for a choke or neck crank. He loses it and stands, then gets cracked with a hard upkick. Elkins dives down and latches onto Siler’s back with a body triangle, again looking for the rear-naked choke. It looks deep but Siler defends well, though he can’t shake the wrestler off his back. Heavy punches from Elkins have badly bloodied Siler’s nose. Siler gets off a few good elbows over his shoulder before getting caught in another RNC. Siler gives the thumbs-up to referee Marc-Andre Cote and Elkins lets go. Yet another choke attempt is defended by Siler, who won’t give up and finishes the round punching over his shoulder at Elkins.
Round 3
Siler tries to establish his jab in the opening but the fresher Elkins is connecting when he steps inside with hooks and jabs of his own. Another takedown for Elkins one minute into the round; this time, Siler is able to use the fence and get back to his feet with relative ease. Elkins sticks a right hand, dodges wild punches from Siler and dives on a single-leg. Halfway through the round and Siler is on his back in the middle of the cage, trying to mount some offense from his back with Elkins in his guard. Siler pulls rubber guard, can’t do anything with it. He manages to get back to his feet when Elkins stands up to reposition, but Elkins double-legs him right back to the canvas. Siler gets up with 30 seconds to go, stuffs a shot from Elkins and frames up a brabo choke. Elkins extracts his head from the last-ditch sub attempt and should be on his way to a decision win.
Official result: All three judges score the bout 30-27 for the winner by unanimous decision, Darren Elkins.
Ivan Menjivar vs. Azamat Gashimov

An early takedown attempt from Gashimov succeeds but he’s soon forced to play defense as Menjivar throws up his legs for a triangle or armbar. Gashimov stands to extract himself and dives back down to work from Menjivar’s guard. Gashimov briefly considers an ezekiel choke from guard, lets it go. Menjivar throws his legs up again for another armbar and this time it’s deep. With Menjivar cranking the arm belly-down, Gashimov is forced to tap out at 2:44 of the first round.
Matt Riddle vs. John Maguire
Round 1
Riddle keeps on the outside early, trying to stick the shorter Maguire with straight punches. Not much solid offense through the first half of the round, with Maguire looking to counter Riddle’s punches with right hands. Maguire catches a low kick from Riddle, can’t find the counter. Short elbow inside from Riddle connects and a left hook shortly after. Maguire catches another kick and Riddle leaps out of it, pushing Maguire away with a spinning kick. Good outside thigh kick from Maguire A third caught low kick and this time Maguire tries to swarm on Riddle. It doesn’t work, as Riddle reverses Maguire into the fence with underhooks. Maguire starts turning up the offense just before the round ends.
Round 2
Good leg kick from Maguire and Riddle tries to answer over the top with a right hand. Riddle’s punches are coming up short, so he digs an underhook and bullies Maguire into the fence for a moment. Now it’s Riddle catching a kick and shoving Maguire to the ground. Maguire tries to bait Riddle into his guard, but Riddle is cautious, kicking at the prone Englishman’s legs. Riddle dives into Maguire’s guard and quickly backs out to stand over him again. Ref Yves Lavigne orders Maguire back to his feet and now it’s Maguire going after a single-leg. Riddle denies it and puts Maguire on the cage, again not mounting much offense in the clinch before backing off. Riddle shoots and Maguire grabs a guillotine, then tries to finish by pulling guard. Riddle rolls through and extracts his head. He charges on Maguire, throwing wild punches which mostly miss.
Round 3
Riddle gets the better of the standup in the early going of round three, throwing a higher volume of punches than Maguire even though he’s only landing about one in three. Maguire, for his part, keeps attacking with leg kicks and trying to walk into the pocket. Overhand lefts from Maguire are ducked by Riddle, who comes back with an uppercut to the body. Another three-punch flurry from Riddle misses and Maguire snipes back with a single, snapping punch which lands. Riddle gets a body lock and puts Maguire on the fence, driving a knee into his body. Down to the final minute and Riddle won’t let go this time, controlling Maguire on the cage and throwing knees to the legs. He tries to hurl Maguire down but gets stuffed, then shoved off with 20 seconds to go. Riddle waves Maguire forward, then charges in and gets caught in a guillotine. Maguire rolls, trying to finish the choke, but he runs out of time.

Antonio Carvalho vs. Rodrigo Damm
Round 1
The featherweights feel one another out, Carvalho flicking leg kicks while Damm comes over the top with a good right hand. They go back and forth, exchanging leg kicks with Carvalho getting the better strikes to land, reddening the outside of Damm’s left leg. The crowd is getting restless with 90 seconds left in the opening round and still no big punches landed. Carvalho keeps thumping Damm’s lead leg, which is already bruised and swollen as the Brazilian heads back to his corner.
Round 2
Carvalho continues to batter the leg of Damm with low kicks while Damm looks hesitant to pull the trigger, instead keeping Carvalho at bay with front kicks. Carvalho slips on a high kick and Damm pounces, trying to attach himself to Carvalho’s back. “Pato” rolls through and shakes Damm off, then gets back to his feet and resumes his kicking assault. Damm corks Carvalho with a good left hand but doesn’t follow up. Damm sticks a jab in the face of Carvalho, who is leaking blood from his nose. Damm looks to be coming on strong in the waning seconds of the round but Carvalho pushes back with a cracking combo just before the horn.
Round 3
Damm is once again moving forward at the start of the final frame, now landing a couple solid leg kicks of his own. Carvalho loses his mouthguard and has it washed out before resuming. When they do, Damm starts stringing together some good punches, backing Carvalho toward the cage with straight shots. Carvalho connects with a straight right of his own, followed by another leg kick. Left hook lands for Damm and he manages to avoid Pato’s next low kick. Damm sticks Carvalho with a straight right and steps off to block a high kick. Carvalho keeps looking for the head kick but Damm is blocking or sidestepping each one. Both men look to finish strong with punches, kicks and knees, but neither lands anything significant and this one is headed to the scorecards.
Official result: The judges score it 29-28 Damm, 29-28 Carvalho and 29-28 for the winner by split decision, Antonio Carvalho.
Sam Stout vs. John Makdessi
Round 1
Stout takes the center of the cage and immediately starts stalking Makdessi, walking “The Bull” down and sticking hard right hands in his face. Makdessi backs him off with a stiff jab, then clips Stout on the temple when he falls off-balance on a punch. Another good jab from Makdessi and Stout acknowledges it before retaliating with a leg kick. A right hand gets Makdessi moving around the outside again. Makdessi times an outside leg kick and socks Stout with a counter right hand. Stout comes in thinking takedown but gets turned away and stuck with another Makdessi jab. Stout’s punches are coming up short and now another takedown try is rebuffed. Stout is still moving forward but it’s the jab of Makdessi which has been the most effective weapon through the first round. Two more stiff left hands snap Stout’s head back before the horn.
Round 2
It’s more of the same to begin round two, with Stout moving forward, headhunting with power punches while Makdessi continues to cork him with hard jabs. Stout gets some kicks in the mix now but Makdessi answers with one of his own to the body. Makdessi’s left hand is constantly in Stout’s face, sometimes without even waiting for Stout to throw. Good head movement from Makdessi as he weaves out of the way of Stout’s punches, then denies another single-leg takedown attempt to finish the round.
Round 3
Makdessi continues to move backward, sticking jabs and even catching Stout with a flashy hook kick. Stout won’t stop coming forward or throwing bombs, even though almost every flurry results in Makdessi weaving out of the way and countering with a jab. Stout has manages to bloody Makdessi’s nose while Makdessi has done damage to Stout’s left eye. Makdessi keeps jabbing to the end, moving out of the way of Stout’s shots, and “The Bull” should take the decision win after 15 minutes.
Official result: The judges score it 30-27, 29-28 and 30-27 for the winner by unanimous decision, John Makdessi.

Round 1
Griggs takes a knee from the lanky Frenchman and charges forward. Diabate catches him coming inside with a left cross and Griggs tilts slowly to the ground. Diabate follows him to the floor and works from side control, but Griggs is able to squirm back up. Not for long, however, as Diabate slams Griggs, who is absolutely pouring blood from his nose less than 90 seconds into the bout. Griggs uses the cage to inch back up and takes a knee to the face. He grabs Diabate’s head but can’t get anything going with the choke and surrenders his back again. Diabate won’t let go this time and sinks in the rear-naked choke, forcing Griggs to tap out at 2:24 of the first round.
Patrick Cote vs. Alessio Sakara
Round 1
Sakara swipes with long left hands to open the bout, but Cote finds his mark with a good right hand about 45 seconds in and then unloads. Sakara is injured, on the retreat as he eats a knee and more punches from Cote — but just as suddenly, Sakara reverses the momentum as they work on the fence. He turns Cote around, lets go of the Thai plum and uses a pair of close-quarters elbows to put Cote down. Sakara tries to finish, pounding with hammerfists; the first few land on Cote’s shoulder blades, but the next eight or nine land square on the back of the Canadian’s head. Cote hits the deck, still clinging to Sakara’s leg, and referee Dan Miragliotta finally intervenes. Patrick Cote is awarded the win by disqualification at 1:26 of the first round.
Mark Hominick vs. Pablo Garza
Round 1
The featherweights exchange leg kicks and Garza has a few deflected up top. It’s the shorter Hominick pressing forward on the lanky “Scarecrow” Garza, who backs the Canadian off with long punches and an inside leg kick. Hominick comes right back in, pushing Garza toward the fence, but Garza charges out with a knee and a high outside leg kick. The give-and-take continues as the men take turns pushing forward, Hominick trying to stick stiff punches and Garza working with knees and kicks. Crisp right straight from Hominick, and a one-two follow-up has Garza covering up momentarily. They go to the mat and Garza swings his long legs up, trapping Hominick’s right arm in an armbar. Hominick lifts him up and is able to extract the limb before coming back down in Garza’s open guard. Body shots from Hominick as he sits up, then gets pushed off by Garza’s legs. Hominick lands a nasty left hook to Garza’s liver and Garza wilts. Hominick tries to pound him out, but Garza gets up and blasts him with a right hand. Hominick decks Garza with another uppercut, this time to the face, but it’s Hominick leaking blood from his left eye as the first round comes to a close.
Round 2
Garza goes airborne to begin the round with a kick which misses Hominick by a good margin. Garza grabs a waistlock and Hominick tries to roll through, nearly ending up with Garza on his back. Instead, Hominick puts his back on the mat with Garza in his closed guard. Garza scoots Hominick toward the fence, covering the Canadian’s mouth with his hand and landing the occasional hard left hand. They get to the edge of the cage and Garza postures up to throw some solid ground-and-pound, cutting Hominick open further. Hominick swings his hips for an armbar but Garza stands, pulls out and goes back into Hominick’s guard with about a minute to go. Short punches and lots of smothering from Garza gives way to hard, short elbows, and Hominick’s face is looking rough by the end of the period.
Round 3
Hominick still has some pep in his step as he emerges for the final round, coming at Garza and connecting with a few combinations. After a minute, though, Garza hits another takedown and gets back to work in Hominick’s guard, keeping busy with short hammerfists and grinding elbows. Hominick alternates between closed and butterfly guard, nearly pushing Garza away on a few occasions, but Garza is doing well to stay on top. Another near escape for Hominick as he tries an omoplata but again Garza keeps top position. Garza stands up to throw punches just before the horn; Hominick tries a last-ditch armbar that Garza slips out of.
Official result: The judges turn in diverse scorecards of 29-27, 30-26 and 29-28, all for the winner by unanimous decision, Pablo Garza.
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Mark Bocek
Round 1
Dos Anjos wants to work on the fence early but Bocek frees himself from the clinch. After the lightweights trade leg kicks, it’s Bocek who decides to shoot for a single-leg as dos Anjos sprawls on the cage. Good knees in the Thai plum by dos Anjos force Bocek to bail out. Bocek slips on a leg kick but dos Anjos doesn’t pounce. Another single-leg attempt from Bocek and again dos Anjos widens his base and sprawls on the fence. Quick right hand from dos Anjos as he escapes, followed by a kick to the body. Dos Anjos kicks the body of Bocek, who goes after another single-leg and eats some elbows for his trouble. Bocek won’t give up on the shot, so dos Anjos turns him around and exits with a knee.
Round 2
Dos Anjos catches a hard low kick to the cup just seconds into the round. He recovers quickly and the lightweights are back to business in short order, this time with dos Anjos chasing the takedown. He gets it but Bocek is active underneath, first going for a kimura and then an armbar. Dos Anjos steps over Bocek’s head and escapes after a moment. Bocek’s face is bloodied as he’s taken down against the cage again. Dos Anjos can’t properly take Bocek’s back, so he works from the side and pounds away as Bocek tries to turtle and escape. Bocek gets back to his feet momentarily, only to be slammed back down. When Bocek gets up with a few seconds left in the round, his face is a mess, blood dripping down into his eyes.
Round 3
Bocek goes after another takedown but dos Anjos once again sprawls on the fence. The Canadian is relentless in his pursuit of the single leg, finally getting dos Anjos down to a knee. That’s as far as it goes, as dos Anjos pops back up and hits an easy takedown of his own. Dos Anjos spins to take Bocek’s back and Bocek goes for a standing kimura. It doesn’t stick but it’s enough to get dos Anjos to back off. Straight punches and a leaping knee from dos Anjos, then a grazing punch to the body. Bocek grabs for dos Anjos’ lead leg and dos Anjos immediately sprawls out. It’s Bocek clinching on the fence late in the final round but dos Anjos breaks free to land a few more shots before the end of the bout.
Official result: All three judges score the bout 30-27 for the winner by unanimous decision, Rafael dos Anjos.
Francis Carmont vs. Tom Lawlor
Round 1
Lawlor comes straight at Carmont and pushes the Frenchman into the fence with an underhook. Good pressure from Lawlor as he keeps the bigger man pinned to the cage, digging for a single-leg. Carmont lands a nice knee to the gut and turns Lawlor around, but it doesn’t last long and Lawlor gets control back. There’s not enough action for referee Philippe Chartier, who breaks them up just past the 2:00 mark. Lawlor goes after a double-leg and Carmont sprawls on the fence, then cranks Lawlor’s left arm in a kimura. Lawlor gives up the position to free his arm, steps out and then shoves Carmont back into the fence. Carmont doesn’t stay put this time and the middleweights go back to striking with a minute left. Carmont comes in for a single-leg behind a leg kick and Lawlor snares him in a guillotine. Lawlor pulls guard with 30 seconds to go and wraps Carmont up tight. Carmont is spitting blood out of his mouth and manages to pop his head loose with seconds to spare. He socks Lawlor with one shot from top position right at the horn.
Round 2
Carmont keeps a hand in Lawlor’s face as he fires off few leg kicks and a strong knee to the body. Lawlor gets inside to tie up and push Carmont into the fence, immediately drawing a call for action from ref Chartier. Breaing off, Carmont takes an outside leg kick before sidestepping several punches from Lawlor, who gives an exasperated look. Carmont push-kicks Lawlor away, but Lawlor keeps coming and presses Carmont on the fence. Carmont gets a little space and catches Lawlor with a left hand. This causes Lawlor to drop back down, and this time he’s successful with his double-leg attempt. Carmont scrambles to his feet and covers up as Lawlor throws a pair of knees at his head. Carmont lands a knee to the body before Lawlor hits another takedown with a minute to go. Carmont swings his hips for a triangle, changes to an armbar. Lawlor bails, grabs another guillotine and pulls guard again. Carmont doesn’t seem concerned and waits out the final few seconds in the choke.
Round 3
Lawlor connects with a grazing punch while Carmont hits a body kick and threatens with a knee. Lawlor gets inside and spends 30-40 seconds working for a takedown against the cage. Ref Chartier splits them up and it’s Lawlor on the offensive, trying to navigate the range with punches. Carmont peppers with low kicks and looks for the counter before having his back pressed into the chain-link again. Lawlor clings to a single-leg and takes some horizontal elbows to the side of the head. Carmont drops to his knees and escapes with just over 90 seconds left in the bout. Lawlor lobs out long punches while Carmont tries to come underneath with an uppercut, neither scoring. Long kicks from Carmont as he moves backward around the outside. Lawlor gets through with a decent right hand, misses the next few and gets the underhook. Carmont tosses him to the ground and Lawlor dives back to finish the fight shooting.

St. Pierre moves to half-guard, postures up to punch and gets stuffed back. Back to half-guard on Condit’s left side goes GSP, lands a few short punches and gets put back in guard again. St. Pierre tries to wrap Condit up in his guard as the interim champ pounces, blasting away with punches and stapling elbows. St. Pierre seems to regain his wits as he slows the assault with his guard and staggers back up. GSP immediately starts walking Condit down, although now with a sizeable mouse forming in the spot where Condit kicked him. St. Pierre hits a takedown and Condit stays busy, locking up a body triangle from his back and throwing elbows upward. GSP attacks the body with punches, stands up to try and better his position. He dives down and Condit works back to his feet, where GSP grabs a rear waistlock. It looks like Condit is about to get suplexed before he threatens with a kimura. St. Pierre opts for a takedown and works from Condit’s half-guard with just under a minute left. The champ doesn’t mount any significant offense but finishes the round on top.
Round 4

They go back and forth again between full and half-guard before Condit pulls rubber guard. Condit rolls underneath, grabbing at GSP’s left leg and then switching to a triangle. St. Pierre postures up and breaks out, now leaning from left to right in Condit’s half-guard. Condit scoots backward to the fence and uses it to stand up, then hits a switch and winds up on top. Condit is trying to mount offense from his back but St. Pierre is all over it, flattening him out and nearly stepping into mount. Condit tries to roll out, giving up his back in the process, but he keeps rolling and puts St. Pierre back in guard. Spraying blood onto the mat, Condit goes for a last-second kimura attempt, but St. Pierre frees his arm before the end of the round.
