As noted earlier here on the website, Jerry “The King” Lawler made his first public appearance on Friday, September 28 at an independent wrestling show at the Mid-South Fair in South Haven Mississippi. Lawler suffered a heart attack during WWE RAW on September 10. Lawler had wrestled earlier in the show.
Lawler at one point was set to wrestle two matches but instead greeted fans and worked as a ringside commentator.
Lawler also did an interview with Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee. He stated WWE boss Vince McMahon told Lawler to take off as much time as he needs. Lawler though is planning November to return full-time to the ring and broadcast booth. Lawler said he wanted to return this month, but McMahon thought that would be “too soon.”
Lawler will next be making an appearance at the October 16 Smackdown tapings in Memphis, TN next.
