Update On WWE Films & Future, Billy Gunn To WWE?, More

Partial Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

— WWE Studios has one more movie left to be released this year – Barricade. This is the last movie that was done under the old model where WWE financed, released and promoted the movie themselves. Movies under the new model for WWE Studios are The Marine: Homefront with The Miz, Dead Man Down with Colin Farrell and Wade Barrett, The Hive with Halle Berry and David Otunga, No One Lives with Luke Evans and Brodus Clay plus 12 Rounds: Reloaded with Randy Orton. All five of these movies will be released in 2013 and all have completed filming except for 12 Rounds: Reloaded. Both Dead Man Down and The Hive are confirmed for theatrical releases.

— As noted earlier here on the website, WWE officials were reportedly impressed with Billy Gunn and how he interacted with Shawn Michaels on the 1,000th RAW. The current belief is that he will get at least one match on a future televised RAW. As noted earlier, he was also backstage at the WWE NXT tapings on Thursday night and will likely continue to work with the future stars of WWE. Conversely, Sean “X-Pac” Waltman did not inspire the most complimentary talk as it related to his condition so he is unlikely to be brought back to work a match. It was obvious that he had gained a ton of weight.
