TNA Lockdown Opener:

The show opens with footage of James Storm putting his bags in the back of his truck talking about how Bobby Roode made things in this feud personal. Storm says this is the biggest match of his career. He welcomes Roode to Nashville, what he calls ‘his town’.

– We get video footage of Roode and Storm preparing for this match, intercut with footage showing their history. It’s a good piece of work.

– There’s no pyro as we begin the PPV, but Mike Tenay is still here to welcome us to the PPV. He immediately begins hyping the Lethal Lockdown match, which is set to open the show.

– Team Garrett is shown backstage talking amongst each other. Garrett comes in and asks to be the first one to get into the ring tonight. Styles is concerned that Bischoff has no experience. Garrett says he knows he’s going to get beat, and he knows he’s a rookie, but he wants to show that he’s got the same amount of heart as everyone else, and gain the fan’s respect. His team is ok with that, so it looks like that’s what’s going to happen.

Lethal Lockdown Match
– Team Eric (Gunner (Captain), Bully Ray, Chris Daniels, Eric Bischoff and Kazarian) vs. Team Garett (Garett Bischoff (Captain), AJ Styles, Mr. Anderson, Rob Van Dam and Austin Aries)
If Team Eric wins, Garett will leave TNA forever, and if Team Garett wins, Eric would leave TNA, and Eric would have to change his name

Garrett Bischoff is the first man to make his way out to the ring, and he actually gets a decent reaction from the crowd.

Gunner is out first for Team Eric, and he doesn’t get a warm welcome from the crowd.

The bell rings, and Gunner and Hunter begin circling each other. The stare each other down for a little while before Gunner charges. Bischoff moves and catches Gunner with a couple of punches. Garrett hits a couple of boots in the corner, but Gunner fights back, shouldering Garrett. Garrett fights out and hits a couple of dropkicks, but he’s thrown back into the corner by Gunner. Garrett goes up to the second rope after hitting a big boot and leaps off the middle toward Gunner. Gunner takes Garrett down to the mat and hits him with a bunch of rights before sending him into the ropes and hitting a back elbow.

Gunner takes Garrett into the corner and buries his shoulder in Garrett’s midsection before planting his knee in the side of Bischoff’s face. Gunner stomps away at Garrett as the clock counts down to the next entrant. Gunner uses his boot to choke Garrett before raking his face against the cage. The clock runs out, and the next entrant in the match is Bully Ray.

Ray heads right into the ring where Gunner is wrenching away at Garrett’s neck. Ray winds up and catches Garrett with a big kick to the chest. Ray stomps on Garrett’s head. Garrett tries to fight back, but he’s stopped by Gunner from behind. Gunner whips Garrett into a big clothesline from Ray. Ray winds up and hits a set of big right hands to Garrett. Garrett tries to fight back again, but he’s stopped with a big right hand from Ray. The crowd is chanting for Austin Aries. The clock runs out and the next member for Team Garrett is Austin Aries.

Aries heads into the ring and brings the fight to Ray. He mounts Ray in the corner and hits a crazy series of rights before jumping off with an axe handle to Gunner. Aries is a house of fire, wearing Ray out in the corner with rights and a running clothesline, but he runs straight into a big boot from Bully Ray. Ray taunts Aries before hitting him with a big right hand. Ray hits Aries with an elbow to the top of the head before trying to whip him across the ring. Aries reverses and runs in shoulder first into Bully’s gut. Aries goes to the top and launches himself off with a missile dropkick to Ray. The clock counts down and Kazarian is the next man to the ring.

Kaz heads into the ring and takes Aries right out of the equation before going over to get in a couple of shots of his own on Garrett. Kaz turns back and forth from kicking Garrett to kicking Aries. Kaz whips Garrett into the middle rope clothesline from Gunner. Gunner continues to pound on Garrett while Ray and Kaz double team Aries. The clock counts down and the man advantage is erased for a little bit as AJ Styles makes his way out to the ring.

Kaz tries to attack Styles, but Styles sends the cage door into Kaz’s face. Styles heads into the ring and takes out Gunner with a Pele kick before wearing out Ray in the corner with a series of rights. Ray charges out with a big clothesline to stop his momentum though. Styles comes back with a big dropkick to Ray, and Aries follows up with a leaping elbow drop. Everyone just seems to be getting in their spots wherever they can, and I imagine it’ll only get worse as more people come in. The clock counts down and the next member of Team Eric is Daniels.

Daniels goes out to the ring and heads right for Styles, whipping him into the corner, and then along with Kazarian, picking him up and throwing him into the cage. Aries finds himself thrown into the cage wall, and then so does Garrett. the fans want to see Garrett tossed in again. Ray heads to the top and hits Styles with a double ax handle smash. Ray heads up to the top again and asks for Garrett to be stood up so he can hit him with a double sledge. Gunner goes to the middle rope and hits a knee drop. The clock counts down yet again and this time it’s Mr. Anderson.

Anderson comes in and hits everyone with a bunch of punches before planting Daniels on the mat and hitting him with an elbow drop. Bully Ray and AJ trade right hands in the middle of the ring, and Styles actually shoulders Ray and slams him down to the mat. Daniels and Kaz hit AJ with a double back body drop. Gunner puts Garrett into the tree of woe and charges into him in the corner. The clock counts down again, and the final member of Team Eric is Eric Bischoff himself.

Eric, surprisingly, heads right into the cage. He goes straight for Garrett and holds him up so Bully can hit him with a big open hand chop to the chest. Ray hits another big chop. Gunner gets in a chop of his own, and Kaz gets in a kick to the face. The heels are just wearing out the good guys, stomping them and punching them into oblivion, for the moment. The clock counts down for the final time, and the last man to enter the match is Rob Van Dam, Lethal Lockdown finally begins!

Van Dam comes in and he’s got kicks for all members of Team Eric, except Eric, who’s cowering in the corner. RVD hits Kaz with a monkey flip, and Ray with Rolling Thunder. Mr. Anderson calls down the mic, but it’s not the mic that comes down, it’s the top of the cage with weapons hanging from it.

Eric Bischoff continues to cower in the corner. Styles pulls down a hockey stick from the top. Aries has a cookie sheet which he uses to whack Ray. Styles works over Ray and Kaz with the hockey stick. RVD has a trash can and he blasts Kaz. RVD continues to use the trash can, hitting Gunner. Styles hits Daniels with a kendo stick to the back. Aries hits Ray with a trash can lid shot to the head. Aries stomps at Ray in the corner. RVD uses a chair to dropkick Ray in the face in the corner.

Aries and Styles notice Bischoff and they bring him into the rings. Aries slams Bischoff to the mat and uses his feet to rake Bischoff’s face. RVD heads to the top rope, but Gunner stops him in his tracks. Gunner hits the corner dropkick on Gunner, and then hits Ray with a rolling elbow. Ray catches Aries and presses him, throwing him into the cage wall like a lawn dart. Anderson hits Daniels with a neckbreaker before hitting Ray with a low blow, and hitting a Green Bay plunge across Daniels’ chest.

Kaz goes after Styles in the corner and both men are standing on the top. Kaz tries to flee by using the top of the cage to climb away from Styles. Styles kicks Kaz and makes him fall to the mat, before falling on top of him with an elbow drop. RVD hits Kaz with the frog splash. Ray catches Aries with a big boot, but eats a dropkick from RVD. Daniels hits RVD with the angel’s wings.

Daniels picks Garrett up, but Garrett is able to counter. Garrett goes for the pin, but Eric has a kendo stick, and he breaks things up. Eric hits Garrett with shot after shot from the kendo stick, actually breaking it in the process.

Garrett makes his way to his feet while Eric is gloating, and he grabs a guitar, which he uses to crash over his father’s head. Garrett goes for the pin, and he gets the three count.

Winners: Team Garrett

Garrett celebrates on his way to the back with his teammates. He says his old man is done. Eric is shown being helped out of the ring by his teammates. He shakes the referee’s hand on his way out.

Steel Cage Match for the TNA Tag Team Championship
– Samoa Joe and Magnus © vs. The Motor City Machine Guns

The bell rings and it looks like Shelley and Magnus will be kicking things off, and this will work like a regular tag match, only in a cage. We get a lock up and Magnus tosses Shelley into the corner. Shelley catches Magnus with a low dropkick, but a clubbing blow to the back stops Shelley’s momentum. Neither man can seem to connect with any real offense until Magnus hits a big clothesline.

Sabin makes the blind tags and the Guns hits Magnus with stereo kicks to the chest and back. Magnus crawls to his corner and tags in Joe. Sabin avoids a takedown from Joe, but he falls victim to a kick to the gut. Joe pulls Sabin out of the corner, and Sabin locks in a headlock. Joe fights out and Sabin hits a shoulderblock, but Joe is unmoved. A second and a third bring out a right hand from Joe. Joe fights off a sunset flip, but eats a dropkick to the side of the head. Shelley tags in and heads to the top, coming off with a double axe handle to Joe’s back.

Joe makes the tag and Shelley hits Magnus with a couple of punches and a big chop in the corner. Magnus avoids a splash in the corner and fights off a double team by tossing Shelley into Sabin with a fall away slam. Joe tags in and he takes Sabin to the mat with a big back elbow. Joe hits a huge chop to Sabin’s chest before tagging Magnus back into the ring.

Magnus slams Sabin to the mat and goes for the pin, but he only gets one. Joe tags in and takes Sabin down with a series of right hands in the corner. Sabin fights off both Joe and Magnus and tries to make the tag, but he’s stopped by Joe, and a bit of double team work ending in a senton from Joe scores a near fall. Magnus tags in and lock in a rear chin lock to begin wearing Sabin down.

Sabin fights to his feet and tries to get the tag, but Magnus stops him again with a big spinebuster. Joe tags into the match and hits Sabin with a snap suplex that’s good for another quick two count. Joe takes Sabin into his own corner and Sabin is able to fight out with a boot to Magnus and tornado DDT to Joe combination. Sabin crawls to his corner and both men make the tag. Shelley comes in with a series of boots to Magnus. Magnus fights off sliced bread, but he’s sat in the corner, and he puts Joe down with a kick to the head. Another try at sliced bread and Magnus seats Shelley on top. Joe and Magnus go up for a double superplex, but Sabin comes in and hits a powerbomb on Joe out of the corner. Magnus goes for something, but Shelley hits Magnus’ head on the cage and he drops to the mat. Shelley hits a double stomp, but Joe makes the save.

The Guns slam Joe head first into the cage wall before turning to Magnus. Sabin goes for a neckbreaker, but Joe catches him in the rear naked choke from behind. Magnus gets Shelley with a full nelson. Shelley fights out and hits sliced bread on Magnus. Joe breaks the hold to break up the pin. Joe and Magnus try for their finishing combination, but Shelley avoids the elbow. Sabin locks on a sleeper on Joe in the corner. Shelley tries for sliced bread on Magnus again, but it doesn’t work. Magnus slams Shelley to the mat and Joe sentons him with Sabin on his back. Magnus and Joe hit their signature snap mare elbow drop combo and get the three count.

Winners and STILL TNA Tag Team Champions: Samoa Joe and Magnus

Joe and Magnus make their way to the back. Joe says that he’s the best in the world.

Backstage:

JB is backstage with Robbie E. Robbie makes big Rob Terry pat down JB because he doesn’t trust him. Robbie says Devon isn’t on his list, and he’s not on Robbie’s level. He says he’ll leave Nashville as a two time TV Champ, and then he and Big Rob are going to hit Broadway, where they’ll be fist pumping.

Steel Cage Match for the TNA TV Championship
– Devon © vs. Robbie E

Before the match begins Terry wont leave the ring. Robbie charges but Devon moves and Robbie crashes into Terry. Terry leaves the cage and Robbie brings the fight to Devon, taking him to the mat and going for a quick pin. Robbie stomps at Devon. Devon fights back, hitting Robbie with a couple of rights, but he runs into a big boot in the corner. Robbie follows up with a big clothesline out of the corner. Robbie heads to the middle rope and leaps out with a flying elbow. Robbie locks on a rear chin lock on Devon.

Devon fights out of the hold, but Robbie is able to take him back down to the mat. Robbie heads up to the top rope, but Devon hits the ropes and Robbie ends up crotching himself. Robbie runs into a couple of big rights from Devon before eating a shoulderblock. Then he eats another. Devon takes takes Robbie to the mat before whipping him into the corner and hitting a big splash. Devon plants Robbie with a spinebuster, and gets the three count.

Winner and STILL TNA TV Champion: Devon

Devon celebrates following the match, but he’s immediately attacked from behind by Big Rob. Terry helps Robbie to his feet, and the two stand tall over a laid out Devon.

Backstage:

JB is standing backstage with Matt Morgan. He talks about how you can lend support to either James Storm or Robert Roode by Twittering a certain hashtag. He turns his attention to Morgan. Morgan says he got into wrestling to make money and win championships, but he’s going into tonight’s match for revenge. He says the whole world saw him stab Morgan in the back, and Crimson answers for his sins. He says tonight, the cage is a prison cell, and he’s going to make Crimson his red headed b****.

Steel Cage Match for the TNA Knockout Women’s Championship
– Gail Kim © vs. Velvet Sky

Kim attacks Velvet right away, hitting her with a shot to the gut and slamming her head first into the turnbuckle. Velvet reverses a suplex into a small package. Velvet goes for roll up after roll up, but she’s caught with a kick to the head from Kim. Gail uses her knee to choke Velvet against the middle rope. Gail hits Velvet with a bit right hand, and a running knee to the back. Gail chokes Velvet with her boot in the corner. Velvet blocks a turnbuckle smash in the corner and begins fighting back, hitting Gail with repeated rights and slamming Gail’s face into her knee. Gail goes to the top and hits a missile dropkick that lays Velvet out for a two count.

Gail hits a backbreaker and stretches Velvet across her knee before taking her to the mat and locking in the stretch muffler. Sky fights it off, but Gail comes running out of the corner with a big running clothesline that’s good for a near fall. Gail takes Velvet down to the mat with what’s almost a dragon sleeper. Velvet fights up to her feet, and gets out of the hold with a jawbreaker. Kim slams Velvet’s head into the corner turnbuckle before slapping her. Kim charges into the corner, but Velvet moves and Kim crashes into the ring post and cage wall.

Sky hits a series of clotheslines and back elbows before hitting Kim with a head scissors. Sky hits Kim with a basement dropkick before taking her across the ring with a bulldog. Sky pulls Kim to the middle of the ring. Kim kicks her away and goes up to the top. Velvet stops Kim from escaping and hits her with a couple of knees to the face. Velvet hits a sunset bomb out of the corner, planting Kim on the back of her head.

Velvet goes for the pin, but Gail is able to get her hand on the rope. Madison is able to distract Velvet for a second and Gail crawls toward the cage door. Velvet stops her with a roll up, but Gail reverses and hold on to the tights for a three count.

Winner and STILL TNA Knockouts Champion: Gail Kim

Gail and Madison quickly make their way to the back while Velvet recovers in the ring. Velvet makes her way to the back, apologizing to the fans for letting them down.

In the Arena:

Ric Flair’s music hits, and the Nature Boy makes his way out to the ring to a pretty nice reception from the Nashville crowd.

Of course Flair gets a ton of ‘Woos’ from the crowd. He stands in the ring with a mic. He asks the fans if they have any idea who just walked in the ring. He says that’s a series question. He says that he is the Nature Boy, Ric Flair. He says his life gets greater and bigger every day. He asks the fans if they know why. He says it’s because he’s that damn good. He says he’s a special kind of cat, and tonight, he’s telling the fans that he’s pissed off. He says Hogan just wont leave him alone and tonight he ended Eric Bischoff’s career. Flair says that isn’t funny to him.

Flair runs down a fan in the front row, and he’s interrupted by the music of Hulk Hogan. Hogan makes his way out to the ring to a big reaction. Hogan has a mic in hand and he asks for his music to be cut. Flair says Hogan pissed him off, brother. Hogan says that as the General Manager, he’s got to admit something. He says Flair is the greatest wrestler of all time. He then asks for permission to enter the ring.

Flair gives Hogan permission, because he wants to talk to him. Hogan says if Flair has a complaint, he says that Flair should express it right here and now. Flair says he’s had a problem with Hogan for 30 years. He says he doesn’t like how he runs TNA. And he says he doesn’t like how he tricks people like Bischoff. Flair says he’s working for Hogan, but some day, he’ll just flat out kick his ass.

Hogan says he’s got to ask Flair a question. Does he know where he is? Hogan says he’s at Lethal Lockdown, and all’s fair. He says because all’s fair, Eric Bischoff will never be a part of Impact, and he can never use the name Bischoff again. He also says that everyone in the building knows that if Hogan and Flair hook up right now, they’ll tear the roof off the building, so he suggests that if Flair has a problem, he should do something about it right now.

Flair says that really pissed him off. Flair takes off his jacket but Hogan knocks him on his back. Hogan heads out of the ring and Flair pops up, demanding that Hogan come right back. Flair goes ballistic, throwing a mic into the crowd, then grabbing another. He asks where Hogan is going. Flair turns around to the announcer’s table and says he’ll kick Tenay’s ass. Flair looks crazed as he jaws with fans.

– This leads into a video package setting up Matt Morgan vs. Crimson.

Steel Cage Match
– Matt Morgan vs. Crimson

The bell rings and Crimson goes for the escape right away. Morgan pulls him down and hits a quick clothesline, then shoulder block, and finishes up with a side slam. Crimson tries to escape through the door, but Morgan stops him and launches him into the cage wall. Morgan calls for the door to be opened, and he teases leaving the cage, but shakes his head no, and heads back into the ring. Morgan lays Crimson out and signals for the chokeslam. Crimson fights it off and hits Morgan with a chop block to the knee.

Crimson stomps away at Morgan before hitting him with a big running clothesline. Crimson locks in a cravat and knees Morgan in the face before snap maring him overs and hitting him with a low dropkick to the face. Crimson goes for the pin but he’s only able to get a two count. Crimson sends Morgan running face first into the cage wall. Crimson hits Morgan with a series of clubbing blows to the back. Crimson pulls Morgan to his feet, hitting more big clubbing shots, before sending Morgan head first into the turnbuckle, then choking him on the top rope.

Crimson continues the assault, drawing a count from the referee. Crimson stomps Morgan and kicks him in the ribs. Crimson whips Morgan across the ring, but he runs right into a big boot. Morgan charges out of the corner, but he’s planted with a big spinebuster for another near fall for Crimson. Crimson charges and Morgan catches him with a discus clothesline and both men are down.

Both men get to their feet and Morgan hits a couple of punches, then a couple of clotheslines. Morgan takes Crimson over with a snap mare, then hits a boot to the face. Morgan plants Crimson face first on the corner turnbuckle before dropping him with a back suplex. Morgan charges in and squashes Crimson in the corner. Crimson goes out to the apron. Morgan charges and hits a big cross body, sandwiching Crimson into the cage wall.

Morgan goes for the big boot in the corner, but Crimson avoids it and Morgan ends up hung up on the top rope. Crimson goes to the top to escape, and Morgan heads up after him. Morgan and Crimson fight on the top and Crimson kicks Morgan’s leg out from under him. Morgan crotches himself, then ends up trapped with his leg in between the middle and bottom rope. Crimson heads over the top and drops down to the floor, winning the match.

Winner: Crimson

Crimson smiles and gloats as he walks around the cage and toward the back. He gets in a couple of words with Morgan too, blowing him a kiss, much to Morgan’s chagrin.

– We get a video package that shows the recent history between Angle and Hardy that led up to this match. This includes Angle screwing Hardy in a World Title shot against Bobby Roode, and Angle’s son liking Hardy.

Steel Cage Match
– Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle

The bell rings and Hardy and Angle begin circling each other. Angle attacks and sends Hardy into the corner. Angle hits Hardy with a couple of quick kicks. Hardy drops to the mat and backs away from Angle, but Angle is quick to follow, continuing with stomps and kicking at Hardy. Hardy turns it around with a back elbow, inverted atomic drop, then a low leg drop to the gut, and a dropkick to the face.

Angle chokes Hardy with his boot in the corner, then taunts Hardy by imitating him getting the crowd pumped up. Hardy whips Angle into the corner and follows in with a clothesline, then a low dropkick to a seated Angle. Hardy catches Angle in the corner with a series of right hands. Angle reverses an Irish whip and launches Hardy into the cage wall. Angle circles Hardy before flipping off the crowd. Kurt picks Hardy up and suplexes Hardy right to the mat. Angle hits Hardy with another quick right, then sends him through the ropes and crashing into the cage wall again.

Angle rakes Hardy’s face against the cage, and Hardy ends up busted open. Angle picks Hardy up and sends him into the cage wall again. Angle wont stop, picking him up and sending him crashing into the cage one more time. Angle stomps away at Hardy. Angle goes for it one more time, but Hardy reverses and is able to whip Angle into the cage for a change.

Angle gets to his feet and catches a clothesline, then another. Angle reverses a whip, but eats a running forearm. Angle runs into a back elbow and Hardy hits the poetry in motion out of the corner to lay out Angle for a two count. Angle whips Hardy across the ring, but Hardy catches Angle with a leg scissors that sends him into the side of the cage. Hardy hits the twist of fate and Angle is down on the mat. Hardy heads into the corner and goes up, but Angle is up and he hits the Angle slam from the top rope, planting Hardy on the mat.

Angle goes for the pin but Hardy is able to kick out at two. Angle hits Hardy with repeated rights. It’s a little more obvious that Angle’s leg is hurt now. Angle tries to escape, but Hardy pulls him down and drops him with a clothesline. Hardy begins climbing the cage, heading for the top, but Angle grabs Hardy by the ankle. Hardy, on the top rope, springs backwards for a big splash. Hardy pins Angle, but he only gets two.

Both men are slow to get to their feet. Hardy tries to escape through the door, but Angle grabs him in the ankle lock. Hardy rolls through and locks Angle into an ankle lock. Angle teases tapping, but he rolls over and kicks Hardy away. Hardy hits the twist of fate again. Hardy pulls himself up in the corner and heads up to the top rope. Hardy hits a big swanton out of the corner. Hardy heads up on the opposite side of the ring, going back to the top and hitting a second swanton, but it’s still not enough to keep Angle down for a three count.

Angle begs off when Hardy gets back to his feet. Hardy comes in and Angle sends Hardy face first into the side of the cage. Angle his the Angle slam, but it’s only good enough for a two count. Angle pulls his straps down and drops to one knee. He tells Hardy to get up. Angle goes for another Angle slam. Hardy fights it off and hits an Angle slam of his own. Hardy rips off his shirt and heads for the top. Hardy climbs all the way to the top of the cage. Hardy stands on the top and jumps off with a huge swanton. Hardy pins Angle, and this one is over.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

Well, these two men were able to breathe a little life into the crowd, which was more than welcome. I don’t think it was in the same league as Undertaker/Triple H from Mania (as Angle claimed that it could be better), but it was still a good match, especially considering Angle’s injury.

Knockouts Tag Team Championship Match
ODB and Eric Young vs. Sarita and Rosita

Sarita and Rosita are the first two competitors to make their way to the ring. They get no reaction from the crowd, who know that this match doesn’t really have a shot at following Angle/Hardy.

ODB and EY make their way out to the ring next, wearing Nashville Predators Jerseys. Young climbs up the side of the cage, on the outside, before jumping back to the floor and celebrating with the fans.

ODB charges into the ring and goes right to work on both of her opponents, stomping and kicking away at them. ODB mounts Sarita and lays in with rights hands. Rosita jumps on ODB’s back, but she ends up squashed in the corner. ODB squashes Sarita into Rosita. ODB hits Sarita with a hip toss, then press slams Rosita into Sarita. EY counts a pin, but it doesn’t count, of course. Sarita and Rosita double team ODB, stomping and kicking away at him while EY amuses himself in the corner.

Rosita uses her boot to choke ODB in the corner before kicking away at her. Sarita tags in to the match and stomps away at ODB, laying in with a big knee. Sarita takes a second to attempt to seduce EY before going right back to assaulting ODB. Rosita makes the tag and comes into the ring, kicking away at ODB with her partner. EY heads into the ring, and this allows Sarita and Rosita to double team ODB with an assisted splash. Sarita and Rosita take some time to talk to EY, so ODB recovers, takes a shot, and goes to work. ODB slams Sarita, then Rosita before hitting Sarita with a spear. ODB shoulders Rosita and drops her to the mat, pinning her for a three count.

Winners and STILL TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions: ODB and Eric Young

Rosita and Sarita quickly make their way to the back while EY and ODB celebrate with making out and a big spank to the behind from Young to ODB.

– Taz and Tenay discuss their thoughts about who will win the Championship match tonight, while saying that the Twitter voters overwhelmingly picked James Storm.

Backstage:

JB is backstage with Bobby Roode. Roode says tonight is the night that the entire wrestling world has been waiting for. He says that tonight is the night that James Storm has been waiting for. In his hometown, in front of his friends and family, a chance at the World Heavyweight Championship. He says that tonight he walks into the cage and proves to the world that what he says is true. He always has been and always will be better than you. He says the talking is over. Tonight isn’t a wrestling match. It’s a fight. Roode says he’s out for blood. He hates Storm, and Storm hates him. He tells Storm to put his wife and kids to bed. He proves that he’s the most dominant champion, and the ‘it factor’ of professional wrestling.

This leads into a video package, the same one that opened the show, that shows the extensive history between these two men.

Steel Cage match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship

James Storm is the first man to make his way out to the ring, and he’s driving what looks to be a vintage pickup truck out into the arena. Storm grabs a beer out of a twelve pack in the back, and he uses it to spray the crowd on his way out to the ring. The hometown boy definitely gets one of the best reactions of the night.

The Champion, Bobby Roode, is the next man out to the ring. He doesn’t get nearly as favorable a reaction.

Roode takes his time getting in the ring, walking slowly around the ring first. James Storm comes up from behind and he attacks, hitting Roode with repeated rights before shoving him back first into the cage wall. Storm slams Roode into the barricade before taking the ring steps and setting them on their side. Storm slams Roode head first into the ring steps.

Storm catches Roode with a right, then he grabs a beer bottle. Storm takes a swig and spits the beer in Roode’s eyes. Storm follows Roode around the ring and slams him head first into the announcer’s table. Storm goes up on the table, and leaps off with an elbow to the top of Roode’s head. Storm picks up Roode and slams him into the barricade again.

Roode fights back, hitting Storm with a right hand to the gut, and blocking an attempt from Storm to smash his head into the cage. Storm is able to come up with a whip into the barricade though. Roode begins to flee, heading up the entranceway. Storm catches him though and brings him back to the ringside area where he slams his head into the barricade. Storm grabs a chair and swings, but Roode ducks and Storm connects with the cage. Roode slams Storm head first into the cage.

Roode grabs a beer bottle, and Storm is busted open. Roode attacks Storm with a series of punches, but I don’t know what he did with the beer bottle. Roode slams Storm face first into the cage wall. Roode takes Storm into the ring and he rolls in afterwards. The bell rings and this match is official.

Roode sends Storm crashing into the cage wall before punching away at him with repeated right hands to the top of the forehead. Roode chokes Storm on the middle rope and taunts Storm, goading him on. Roode suplexes Storm and follows up with a beautiful knee drop, which is good for a two count. Roode catches Storm with a kick to the back and follows by hitting him with a series of punches. Storm comes back with punches of his own, getting fired up. Storm hits a series of rights, but he runs right into a big back elbow from Roode.

Roode stomps Storm’s face. Roode takes Storm into the corner and hits him with a big chop to the chest. Roode hits Storm with a big right hand, then another. Roode whips Storm across the ring, but he runs into a back elbow, then a big boot, but Roode is able to connect with a clothesline to put Storm to the mat.

Roode rakes Storm’s face across the cage wall, widening Storm’s cut. Roode kicks away at Storm before telling him that he’s nothing and that Roode hates Storm’s guts. Roode says he never needed Storm. He says he never wanted Storm, all while stomping away at him. Roode says that Storm was nothing without him. Storm continues to taunt him while slapping at his head.

Storm gets to his feet, but Storm seems to be shrugging off offense. Storm throws Roode into the corner and hits a flurry of punches before stomping, and eventually standing on the champion’s chest. Storm hits a flying forearm, then sends Roode across the ring and hits a back body drop. Storm runs into a big boot in the corner. Roode heads to the top rope, but Storm stops him with a right hand.

Storm kicks Roode in the gut and tries for the eye of the Storm, but Roode fights out. Storm kicks Roode and hits a catapult, sending him into the cage. Storm follows up by simply grabbing Roode and launching him into the cage again. Storm tries for the eye of the Storm again, and he hits it this time. Storm goes for the pin but he’s only able to get a two count.

Storm hits Roode with repeated rights, but he hits the ropes and charges right into a spinebuster from the champ. Roode goes for the pin, but Storm kicks out at two. Roode is also busted open at this point. Roode struggles to his feet and charges Storm. Storm sidesteps it. Storm hits the code breaker, then a lungblower, but it’s only good for another near fall.

Storm rakes Roode’s face against the cage before bringing him back into the ring. Roode back drops Storm into the cage wall, sending him falling to the ring apron. Roode crawls to the cage door, making his way slowly. Storm grabs Roode’s foot and he wont let go. Roode kicks at the cowboy, but Storm pulls Roode back into the middle of the ring. Roode goes right into the cross face, locking it in, in the middle of the ring.

Storm refuses to tap, and he’s able to roll over into the ropes to force Roode to break the hold. Roode gets to his feet and leans heavily on the ropes. He pulls Storm up in the corner and hits him with a chop to the chest, and a right to the side of the head. Roode puts Storm on the top turnbuckle, heading up right after him. Roode pulls Storm to his feet on the top turnbuckle. Storm fights Roode off with a series of right hands, but Roode fights back, hitting rights of his own. Roode slams the back of Storm’s head into the cage wall, causing Storm to fall to his seat in the corner. Roode uses Storm’s body to climb to the top. Roode kicks Storm away and gets his body halfway over the top. Roode’s legs are dangling above the ground, but Storm is able to pull him back into the cage.

Storm and Roode slug it out on the top rope. Both men are throwing big right hands. Both men then take turns ramming the other’s head into the cage wall. Storm gets the upper hand, sending Roode crashing down to the mat. Storm climbs to the top of the cage, but he looks back down to Roode. Storm drops down to the top turnbuckle. Storm hits Roode with a codebreaker off the top rope, then he calls for the Last Call superkick. Storm waits for the champ to stand, but Roode pulls the ref into the way and Storm connects with Brian Hebner.

Roode calls for the cage door to be opened. He waits on the apron and tells Earl Hebner to hand him a beer bottle from the six pack. Roode uses the bottle to smash Storm across the head. Roode calls Earl to get into the ring and he goes for the pin, but Storm is able to kick out at two!

Storm gets to his feet and blasts Roode with a superkick out of nowhere. Both men fall to the mat. Roode heads out to the apron, but he’s right in front of the door to the cage. Storm hits Roode with another superkick, but the kick sends Roode crashing through the cage door to the outside.
