More On Reid Flair’s Arrest, J.R On Announcer Situation, More

Earlier today, we reported that Ric Flair’s son Reid was arrested once again over the weekend in North Carolina. Police records have now been released, revealing new details from the incident. According to Mecklenburg County police, Reid was arrested outside of the office of his father’s former business, Ric Flair Finance. He was charged with four separate violations after being pulled over for drunk driving. Charlotte police pulled him over on Sunday afternoon at 2:48 PM and charged him with Driving While Impaired (DWI), Driving with a revoked license (revoked in March after a DUI), felony possession of heroin and a misdemeanor for drug possession. His bonds totaled $15,000. TMZ.com has also picked up on the story and was quick to mention that aside from Reid Flair’s recent string of arrests, Ric Flair’s daughter Ashley was also arrested last year for fighting with Ric and a police officer. While Ric did not press charges, Ashley was still charged with assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Jim Ross has a new blog entry up, here are the highlights:

On Backlash: Backlash is in the books and I thought WWE produced a solid, wrestling oriented event. Edge-Cena was a strong show closer. Both men worked hard, showed great intensity & the closing moments was surprising, crowned a new champion, and created a Cena-Show issue. Last Man Standing matches are challenging for all involved but I thought everyone “carried their share of the water.” (Thanks Al Swearingen.”)

On Working With King and Cole: I enjoyed working with Cole & King at the announce table. We did not get this confirmed until Sunday afternoon but I hope we were able to do a good job for those of you that watched WWE’s 2nd PPV in the month of April. I’m still working to define my new broadcast role which is a major adjustment in timing not to mention working a 3 man booth can be challenging.

On the Future of the PPV Announce Teams: All three announce teams will be in action going forward @ WWE PPV’s in accordance w/ the brand separation. That gets deserving, young announcers like Matt Striker, Todd Grisham, and Josh Mathews in the game.

On Edge and Christian: Loved the interaction w/ Edge & Christian as it felt both fresh & nostalgic.
