- We start with a quick recap of the Brothers Grim and their problems with Austin and Trips on SmackDown!, in addition to their capturing of the Tag Team Titles. Then, video of Vince setting up the All-Title Tag Match at Backlash.
- The video rolls; the pyro flares; the welcomes are issued. We are underway from the Rocky Mountains.
- Kane & Undertaker Interview
-BOOM! Kane comes out, without his brother, but with his title belt. Keep on rollin’, baybee. Taker does come out, riding down on his motorcycle. Taker gets a mic, and says that, throughout all the years, he and Kane haven’t been known for their humor. It hasn’t been a Decade of Laughs; it’s a Decade of Destruction. But, Triple H said something that he found incredibly funny. Tape rolls of Triple H telling Stone Cold that they are the two most dominant men in the wrestling business, ever. Kane asks to see it one more time, and we do. Speaking for the two most dominating men in the business, he doesn’t want Triple H and Austin to think they’re offended. Like he said, they find it funny. Kane agrees that it’s funny: “Oh yeah. I’m laughing on the inside.” He and Kane would have been happy with just a regular tag match against Triple H and Austin, but as luck would have it, the stakes are significantly higher. In less than a week, every title in the WWF will be on the line. The Tag Titles, Intercontinental Title and World Title are all on the line in one match. What is really funny is the thought of Triple H and Austin without their titles. The match has been set. We’ll see where the Titles fall at Backlash. So why not, tonight, have a match to see simply who the most dominant team is? Why not have it right now? You think you know me…Edge and Christian come out, looking puzzled. Edge tells Taker to hold his horses. The most dominating force? That’s a lot of talk for a couple of guys who have had the Tag Titles for only five days. Taker and Kane are one-time champs, while they are seven time champs. They are, thus, seven times more dominant. Christian says that the thin air must be affecting Taker and Kane’s heads. If they want to show footage, why not show the reason they even got a Title shot, by setting fire to Commissioner Regal’s office. They didn’t have any chance to prepare. If you want funny, just listen to Taker and Kane call themselves the most dominant anything. He knows they won’t put their Titles up, but if they’re looking for a fight, they’ve got one. Edge and Christian make their way down the ramp, and Taker and Kane immediately pull them in the ring. Stomps by Taker and Kane, when Trips and Austin appear from the crowd to attack from behind. They go after Kane’s already damaged arm and work on Taker’s as well. They get chairs and go to work on their future opponents. They use the chairs to their full value before nailing the brothers with their own Title belts and leaving. Fade Out. - Spike Dudley vs. Rhyno
-Vince and Steph view the reply laughing. They start to rail on Taker and Kane, when the video cuts to Mick Foley arriving at WWF New York! They look on in disgust. Vince says he must be up to something. In the arena, the D-Bombs drop and out come all three Dudley brothers. Spike hits the ring, as BuhBuh and D-Von sit at the announce table. Rhyno comes out, seemingly entranced by his own entrance video. As Rhyno hits the ring, X-Factor come out, after Spike cost them a match. Spike keeps his eye on them, and turns around to be attacked by Rhyno. Spike comes back with a dropkick to send Rhyno outside. He goes up top and crossbodies from the top. Back in the ring, Rhyno takes Spike out and goes to Gore him, but Spike nails him with a trashcan lid. X-Factor start down the ramp, so the Dudleys leave the booth and attack. In the ring, Spike ducks a lid and hits the Acid Drop on Rhyno 1-2-broken by Albert! Albert pulls Spike outside, but Spike knocks him down and gets back in the ring, only to be Gored by Rhyno 1-2-3! X-Factor come in to triple team Spike, but BuhBuh and D-Von hit the ring and force X-Factor out, with the aid of various hardcore items. Fade Out. - Bull & Goodfather vs. Kaientai
-Earlier today, Steven Richards gave his group a little pep talk. They fight the good fight, but lose! They are making a mockery of their cause. That’s why tonight, they must not fight the good fight. They need to fight to win, fight for victory, fight for survival. In the arena, the sirens blare, and Steven, Bull and Goodfather come down. Kaientai come out on stage, but then go back. They come back quickly, wearing John Elway jerseys and waving Broncos flags. Taka says that the RTC have become repetitious. There is nothing more ridiculous, than someone saying the same thing night after night. Indeed. So tonight, by the power of Elway, their evil will outway the good fight. Goodfather and Funaki start, with a hiptoss by GF, who tags Bull. Big boot by Bull, then a short clothesline. Punches in the corner, but Taka tags himself in. Bull goes to work on him, until Kaientai double team him. Goodfather comes in and takes out Funaki, while Bull goes up top. Funaki runs Goodfather into the corner and ‘buckles Bull. Funaki takes GF outside, where he takes out Steven as well. In the arena, Taka goes up top for a flying crossbody, but Bull catches him. Funaki goes up top and dropkicks the two of them, and Taka lands on top 1-2-3! Fade Out. - Over at WWF New York, Mick is eating his share of food, telling the waiters to put it on the McMahon’s tab. In Denver, Steph says she hopes Mick doesn’t pull another powerplay like he did with Linda.
- Big Show storms in their room, and Show asks if Vince meant that he was the biggest disappointment in the WWF. Vince didn’t mean that, but he did mean to put Show in a match against Shane. Show pulls out a tape, saying it is something they really need to look at. He pops it in, and we see Jeff Hardy packing up, when Test came in and congratulated him on giving Steph the Twist of Fate. Show says that, since Shane isn’t here, why doesn’t he get a match against Test. Vince agrees.
- In Regal’s office, Angle comes in and says that he appreciates him making the match. Regal says that he didn’t make this match just for Angle. He intends to make Jericho submit also. Kurt says that, if he’s the one with the submission match at Backlash, shouldn’t he be the one to apply the submission move? Regal tells him that the Dutchess of Queensbury was quite fond of submissions herself, so why don’t they both apply their submission moves, and the one that makes their opponent tap out quickest will be the winner.
- In the back, Michael Cole is outside the trainer’s office. He relays the trainer’s message that Undertaker and Kane are very shaken up and won’t be competing tonight, but will make sure to fight at Backlash. Trips and Austin come up and tell him that the trainer may say Taker and Kane are done for the night, but they’re not so sure. Fade Out.
- “No Chances” hits, but it is Stone Cold and Triple H who come out. Trips says that, living in this altitude must have killed a lot of brain cells, so he probably has to refresh the fans memories of what happened already tonight. Taker and Kane came out, ran their mouths, and then got their asses kicked. Now they are in the back, licking their wounds, while the two most dominant men in the WWF are still standing in the ring. At Backlash, it’s all on the line. But his IC Belt, and Austin’s WWF Title belong to them. The Tag Titles also belong to them. Everything in the arena, from the ring to the ropes to the lights to the TitanTron belongs to them. Whether you like it or not, at Backlash, Undertaker and Kane’s asses will also belong to them. Stone Cold says that everything Triple H said is true. You don’t have to like it, but you know it’s true. What happened to Taker and Kane could happen to that fat guy in the crowd, the little S.O.B there, anyone in the arena. Austin says that Taker and Kane came in wanting a fight. Well, they’re ready, if the Tag Champs are men enough to come down. The Hardys music hits, and Matt and Jeff come out on the stage. GASP! Matt is going to speak! He says that Trips and Austin are real brave, calling out a team they just jumped from behind. They don’t know the meaning of the word ‘quit’. They’ll keep coming back night after night. Jeff says that, if they want a fight, they don’t have to look far. The difference between these two teams is that you see the Hardys coming. BOOM! Taker and Kane come out and follow the Hardys down. The four hit the ring, and Austin and Trips bail out the crowd.
- SCREEEECH! CRASH! Foley’s music hits and he comes out at WWF New York. He has been enjoying the food in WWFNY, and enjoying the show in Denver. But he has something that may make it a little better. Foley pulls out a sheet of paper. He says that this is one of the papers he signed with Linda. It says that he can choose any Raw or Smackdown and make the Main Event as he chooses. Well, he chooses tonight’s Raw, and his Main Event will be a massive eight-man tag, pitting Edge, Christian, Triple H and Stone Cold against Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, the Undertaker and Kane! Fade Out.
- Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle & William Regal
-Benoit comes out first. Then, the Y2J Countdown hits 00, and out comes the Ayatollah. He says that, at Backlash, he has a match against Commissioner Assclown in a Dutchess of Queensbury match. While he has no idea what the rules are, he’s sure that if anyone knows about Dutchesses and Queens, it’s William Regal. He did manage to find a picture of the Dutchess, and he puts up a picture of a dutchess with Regal’s face on top. Regal comes down, with the picture still on the TitanTron. Regal can’t believe he has been besmirched again. Kurt Angle comes down and we get under way. Double team on Regal. Walls of Jericho n Regal, but Angle breaks it. Crossface on Angle, but Regal breaks it. Jericho and Angle duke it out and we start underway. Jericho goes for an armbar, but Angle fights out. Walls of Jericho, but Angle fights out. Angle locks in the Anglelock, but Benoti breaks it. Tag to Regal. Regal Stretch to Jericho, but he battles up and enzigruis the Commsih. Tag to Benoit, who hits multiiple belly-backs up Regal, as JEricho and Angle battle outside. In the ring, Benoit drop toe holds Regal and locks in the Crossface for the submission victory! Fade Out. - In the back, Coach asks Trish Stratus about her Dating Game on Sunday Night Heat. She says that three men got dinner with her, ate strawberries and whipped cream with her, and then sat back and got to watch her run around half-naked.
- Big Show vs. Test
-In the arena, the Big Show comes down. Test, and his shiny, shiny pants comes down next and gets in the ring and goes right up to Show. They shove to start, but then Show scores a spash in the corner. Test fights out and works on Show in the corner, but Show brings him back in the corner for another beating. Fists by Show, then a backbreaker. Show locks in a bearhug, but Test clubs out of it. He goes for clotheslines, but they don’t phase Show. Back elbow by Test, who goes up top and hits a flying back elbow. He waits for Show to get up and goes for the Big Boot, but Show catches the foot as Shane runs down with a chair. He nails Show and runs out as the ref calls for the DQ. Show watches Shane run out and turns into a Test Big Boot, sending the big man over the ropes. - In the back, Vince storms out, demanding to know where Shane is. In his search, he runs into Trish. She says she is just here to promote the new Divas video. Vince says that, since she always stands on the side of right, she had better go get undressed, because tonight she is fighting Ivory. And if she loses, the RTC will have one new member. Fade Out.
- In the back, Michael Cole asks Raven, GrandMaster and Steve Blackman about their match tonight. Raven gives his poetic reasoning as to why the Radicalz are anything but, and the GrandMaster gives his jive-talkin’ descriptions of all the Radicals. Blackman admits that he has no idea what either of them just said.
- Radicalz vs. Grand Master Sexay, Steve Blackman & Raven
-In the arena, the Radicalz and their gal Terri come down. Raven comes down followed by GrandMaster and Blackman. Perry and Blackman start, with Perry scoring the pumphandle suplex, but Blackman dropping him on his face. Tag to Malenko, who gets thrust kicked. Tag to GrandMaster. Hiptoss by GM, then a clothesline. Big boot by GM, who goes second rope, only for Saturn to pull him down. Tag to Eddie, who dropkicks GM. Stomps by Eddie, and a tag to Saturn. Saturn gut wrences GM, and runs him into the turnbuckle. GrandMaster blocks an attempted Superplex and hits a flying crossbody and both men go down. Tag to Eddie and Raven. Eddie runs out and quickly Malenko runs in. Raven takes him out, and then Saturn, and now Eddie comes in. The other four brawl on the outside, while Eddie runs in and locks in a Half Nelson into a roll-up 1-2-3! Fade Out. - Trish Stratus vs. Ivory
-In the back, all of the RTC are arguing with each other. Ivory breaks it up, saying that she is disgusted with what they have become. She says that, with a little faith, she can beat Trish and stop their losing streak and gain a member. And faith is why she does not want anyone at ringside. In the arena, Trish makes her way down. The sirens blare and Ivory comes down alone. Drop toe hold by Ivory, then a stomp. Facebuster by Ivory, then a snap suplex. Scoop slam by Ivory 1-2-shoulder up. Trish spears Ivory into the corner, and thrusts the shoulder into her. Hiptoss by Trish, then another. Scoop slam by Trish 1-2-shoulder up. Ivory nails a clothesline on a running Trish, then a powerbomb 1-2-shoulder up. Scoop slam by Ivory, who goes up top but misses the missile dropkick. Bulldog by Trish 1-2-3! - In the back, Triple H and Austin are making sure Edge and Christian know how mean to be. E&C tell them not to worry. Fade Out.
- In the back, Taker and Kane are going over strategy with the Hardys.
- Video of earlier tonight, then of the XFL Million Dollar Game.
- Triple H, Steve Austin, Edge & Christian vs. Undertaker, Kane & Hardy Boyz
-Edge and Christian hit the ring, followed by Triple H and Steph, followed by Stone Cold. Fade Out. The Hardys music hits as we come back, and Matt, Jeff, and Lita come out. They wait on the ramp for their partners, who come out to a sweet mixture of old themes and new. It erupts in a brawl to start, with Kane taking Austing outside and over the announce table.
