AEW Dynasty 2025 Post-Show Media Scrum: Toni Storm Invited to Red Carpet for TCM Film Festival, Anthony Bowens on Goal to Become 1st Gay Singles Champ in AEW, Tony Khan on Ending Shows in Sour Note, Potential Future Show at 2300 Arena, Orange Cassidy Injury

AEW held a media scrum following Sunday’s Dynasty 2025 event at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Some of the notable highlights included:

  • During her portion of the media scrum, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm announced that she had been invited to appear on the red carpet for this month’s 2025 TCM Film Festival in Hollywood, California. Storm stated “Firstly, will the owner of the black and orange Dodge 1996 Intrepid with the license plate FTW please move it from the loading dock. You’re blocking ring crew. Secondly, I’m proud to announce that on April 24th, I have been invited to appear on the red carpet for the TCM Film Festival in Hollywood. TCM and AEW have the exact same demographic. I’m officially a mainstream celebrity. This is a pivotal moment in our industry for wrestling to return to what it truly is, which is good, clean, wholesome family entertainment. Thirdly, there once was a man from Nantucket. Whose cock was so big he could suck it. He said with a grin, wiping jizz from his chin, if my ear were pussy I’d fuck it. Now, any questions?
  • On the topic of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament, Storm stated that she will be at this Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show to address the tournament’s competitors.
  • On the topic of if potential future match with wrestling legend Wendi Richter was any closer to actually happening, Storm stated “I’ve been asking that question every fucking day.” AEW CEO Tony Khan responded stating “It takes two to tango. I think at any point, if she would love to come in, we would love to have her. That being said, there is a lot of competition lined up, contemporary competition lined up for you, champ.” Storm responded back stating “She’s been ducking and dodging me for years, the old tart.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, Antony Bowens gave his thoughts about making his return after being gone for the past several months. Bowens stated that he was nervous until he heard the crowd’s reaction and it being something he’ll never forget.
  • On the topic of his current goals for his singles career in AEW, Bowens stated “I think we accomplished everything that I’ve wanted to accomplish as a tag team. Despite my feelings with Max, the Acclaimed are one of the best tag teams in the history of AEW. I’m pretty sure we still have the most wins in the history of the company as a tag team. I would gladly tag with him again if he needs to back me up. Right now, I am focused on becoming a singles competitor and achieving my goals. I am fully, fully prepared to do everything I can to work hard to continue to earn everything I have in the singles division. I fully intend to win gold. I would love to be AEW’s first gay singles champion. I have a lot of things I have to accomplish and that all starts right now.
  • On the topic of his new entrance theme song of “Underground” by Jane’s Addiction, Bowens stated “Tony was able to get the song that I’ve been wanting to come out to since college. I heard it was Underground by Jane’s Addiction. I heard it and was like, ‘This is the perfect professional wrestling song.’ It just fits me like a glove. Thank you, (Tony), for that. We were able to get that and I can move as well having Billy with me.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, Adam Cole gave his thoughts about winning the TNT Championship was one of the top moments of his wrestling career. Cole brought up how tough the last few years were with his various injuries and his title victory being very special and something he will never forget.
  • On the topic of Cole’s future with AEW, AEW Tony Khan stated that Cole is here for life even if he can’t wrestle.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, Khan stated that the deaths of both Brodie Lee and Jay Briscoe were his most humbling experiences running a wrestling promotion and praised both of them for being great people he had the chance to be around with and work with.
  • On the topic of ending the show on a down note and if he has ever considered calling an audible whenever fans get upset, Khan stated “Absolutely, I take that into consideration. We had a lot of great moments for the fans tonight. Swerve was the more popular man in the house tonight. You had two great AEW World Champions having this match and the return of the Young Bucks spoiled what was a great World Championship match on a night where there were a lot of fan favorite moments. That was obviously not necessarily the outcome that a lot of people were hoping for. On the other hand, I do think that Jon Moxley has been, from the very beginning of AEW one of the most important figures from the very first pay-per-view we ever did. It’s very interesting now. This creates a lot of intrigue to have the Young Bucks come back. It’s important to remember we have not seen the Young Bucks in almost six months in AEW. From the very beginning, they have been instrumental in the launch. They are founding fathers. To see them come back this way and get involved and break up what could have been a great moment for the fans, that is consistent with the kind of character we’ve seen from the Young Bucks in recent years. I would say it creates an intriguing situation. Certainly, the fans are behind Swerve. They are every bit as behind him today, after the event, as they have been at any point. I don’t think the Young Bucks involvement and screwing him changes that. Tonight, it creates an intriguing situation. I am very aware the fans love Swerve and he’s one of our most popular stars. Jon Moxley, you could argue, not just his history, but recently has done great things for the company.
  • On the topic of Jon Moxley and his current run as AEW World Champion, Khan stated that Moxley was one of the most important people in AEW dating back to the promotion’s existence. Khan also stated that Moxley had done good things for the company recently and brought up his recent Street Fight match against Cope doing some of the highest ratings for AEW dating back to this past November.
  • On the topic of his interest in running an AEW event at the 2300 Arena, former ECW arena, Khan stated “2300 Arena, right? I would be very interested in that, truthfully. I would absolutely love to run there. I think that it would be really cool if we could go to the 2300 Arena sometime. I haven’t been there in a long time.
  • On the topic of the issues regarding the late official announcement for the Bandido vs. Chris Jericho match for Dynasty, Khan stated that a lot of things were happening this weekend regarding getting the right people needed for the segment including Bandido’s family. Khan also stated that he thought some of the speculation during the week was ridiculous.
  • At the end of the media scrum, Khan confirmed that Orange Cassidy is injured. Khan stated “The past two weeks, it’s no secret, the company got bit hard by an injury bug. The roster and locker room really rallied hard. To lose wrestlers like Orange Cassidy and then Jay White, back-to-back weeks, those are two of the top stars in the company and we would have loved to had both of them here tonight and everybody stepped up.
