Young Bucks Makes Surprise Return at AEW Dynasty 2025 & Cost Swerve Strickland AEW World Title Match

Sunday’s AEW Dynasty 2025 event at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured the Young Bucks’ Matthew & Nicholas Jackson making their surprise return.

Near the end of the AEW World Championship match between Swerve Strickland and Jon Moxley, Marina Shafir got into the ring and attempted to interfere only to be initially stopped by Prince Nana. This led to Shafir laying out Nana with the briefcase when he turned his back on her and then Moxley accidentally laying out Shafir when Strickland ducked his cutter attack. After some more back-and-forth action, Moxley accidentally laid out the referee when he chucked a chair meant for Strickland only for Strickland to dodge again and struck the referee instead.

This led to Hangman Adam Page coming out and stood on the apron being conflicted over who to hit with a Buckshot Lariat. This gave enough time for the Death Riders to come out to attack Page leading to The Opps coming out and brawled with the Death Riders to the back. Strickland then chucked a chair at Moxley laying him out and attempted to hit a Swerve Stomp only for the lights to go out. When the lights came back on, the Young Bucks were seen in the ring clutching Strickland’s arms. The Young Bucks then hit the EVP Trigger to lay out Strickland leading to Moxley covering him for the pinfall victory to retain his title.

The Young Bucks then left through the crowd as Moxley went to Shafir and Strickland stared down the Young Bucks as Page stated down Strickland as the show went to a close.

This was the Young Bucks first appearance in AEW since this past October’s Fright Night Dynamite show.
