Steve Austin Comments on His WrestleMania 13 Match with Bret Hart Being Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame

As noted before, WWE recently announced the No Disqualification Submission match of Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Bret “The Hitman” Hart from WrestleMania 13 will be inducted into their Hall of Fame as part of this year’s class. This match was stated to be inducted as a new “WWE Immortal Moment” category for WWE Hall of Fame inductions.

A recent fan signing event for American Icon Autographs featured WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Austin’s thoughts about his match against Hart from WrestleMania 13 being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame and if the award means anything to him.

“Yeah, yes and no. I mean, yeah, because it was a hell of a match and we knew it at the time. And I think that it was good that it was in Chicago, because Chicago was kind of a stronghold for me, but it would have worked anywhere. But the fact that it happened with Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart. There’s a couple behind-the-scenes stories that, you know, I don’t want to talk about. But, man, it was a hell of a match, and it’s cool for people to still remember it damn near 30 years later. So, yeah, it means something to me, because, I don’t know, if it wasn’t for the fans, I wouldn’t be sitting here. So the fact that that match is relevant and it’s going into the 2025 Hall of Fame for matches and it’s the first match to be inducted, cool.”

Carmella Comments on Her Interest in Potential WWE Return in Future

As noted before, Carmella’s contract with WWE expired this past February and she is no longer with the company. Carmella recently had talked about her release from WWE and her feeling that she was being punished by the company due to her having a child and other issues leading to her departure.

The New York Post held a recent interview with Carmella, real name Leah Van Dale. One of the topics discussed included Carmella’s thoughts about her interest in a potential return to WWE in the future.

“I’m not a ‘never say never’ person. To me, I do feel such loyalty to WWE. I loved my time working there. If I ever went back, I would hope it would be for WWE. I would want to go back as Carmella and moonwalk my way out there and be in a WWE ring. I do feel like that would be my home, but I’m not going to say never. Who knows what the future holds.”

John Cena Comments on “There’s More Unpredictability on the Way” for His Heel Run

PEOPLE held a recent interview with John Cena. One of the topics discussed included Cena’s thoughts about where his new heel character is headed in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania 41.

“I’m going to say that there’s more unpredictability on the way.

Here’s the stance I’m going to take on it, and I think hopefully I can put it in terms you can understand: We’re in the middle of a very riveting season of episodic television and you are kindly asking me to give you spoilers, and I can’t do that. What I did really enjoy about your question is you expressed the unpredictability of WWE programming, and I think that’s one strong point of the current state of WWE — its unpredictability in its programming.”

Cena also gave his thoughts about if there are any goals he still hopes to accomplish for his wrestling career in WWE.

“I want to be careful by not spoiling the cool moments that we have, but this is something that goes beyond WWE programming. I just love it, and I think that when I can no longer compete, I will always be a member of the WWE family in some capacity — whether I can pass on my wisdom through mentorship or be an advocate and a spokesperson for the brand. They certainly will have to shoo me away, because I’m like you — I’m a fan first and I love it so much.”
