TPWW Power 25 Rankings (3/1/09 – 3/7/09)

These rankings are based on a points system rather than on opinion. As the weeks go on and points accumulate, the list should become more “accurate”.

TPWW Power 25 is a kayfabe ranking system. The goal is to track wins, losses, and title changes for WWE and TNA. Wrestlers are ranked based on the points system listed below the chart. Rankings will be updated each week.

Beer Money stays at number 1 for two weeks in a row! Being that they are champions on winning streaks, it make prefect sense. Here is the list:

Rank Wrestler Points Title
1 James Storm 17
2 Robert Roode 17
3 Triple H 14
4 The Miz 13.5
5 John Morrison 12.5
6 Alex Shelley 12
6 Maryse 12
8 Awesome Kong 11
8 Jack Swagger 11
8 MVP 11
11 CM Punk 10
11 Melina 10
11 Sting 10
14 Carlito 9.5
15 Primo 8.5
16 Kane 8
17 The Undertaker 7.5
18 Edge 7
19 Jeff Hardy 6
19 Tyson Kidd 6
21 Mark Henry 5
21 Shawn Michaels 5
21 Shelton Benjamin 5
24 John Cena 4.5

I’m cutting if off this week at 24 because there was a million way tie for 25th place, and it seemed appropriate to have Cena bringing up the rear.

I would also like to point out Kane is above the Undertaker, which is pretty cool being that they are brothers and all.

Points System

Points are only counted for televised matches.

  • +5 for WWE or World Heavyweight Title
  • +4 for ECW or TNA World Title
  • +3 for any other title (I don’t recognize the TNA Legends Title)
  • +1 for each week a title has been held (I started every champion off this week with 1)
  • +2 for winning a match
  • -2 for losing a match
  • +1 for being on the winning side of a tag match while not scoring the win personally
  • -1 for being on the losing side of a tag match while not losing the match personally
  • -1 for not winning a multiple competitor match while not losing the match personally
  • +1 for being in a PPV match
  • + Half the value of the title for winning a non title match against a champion
  • +3 for winning Money in the Bank, the Royal Rumble (or any battle royal), King of the Mountain, or any other similar specialty match (losing such a match does not result in negative points)
  • +2 for lasting the longest in the Royal Rumble
  • +2 for eliminating the most people in the Royal Rumble
  • +2 for starting at 1 or 2 in the Royal Rumble and making it to the final 4
