Warner Bros Discovery Reportedly Pushed for AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage Show to Feel “Important”

AEW will be holding a new themed special called Maximum Carnage for their January 15th episode of AEW Dynamite in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that one big reason why AEW officials decided to add a special moniker to their upcoming Dynamite show in Cincinnati was due to it being something that was requested from Warner Bros Discover.

Sapp reported that WBD officials had asked AEW that their upcoming episode of Dynamite “needed to be important” for “advertising reason” and AEW officials responded back with the decision to use their Maximum Carnage name for this show.

This reportedly was also a reason for AEW officials decision to include an AEW World Championship match for the show.
