WWE NXT TV Taping Spoilers for December 24th Episode – New NXT Title Match Set for NXT New Year’s Evil 2025

WWE held a new set of NXT television tapings at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts.

The first taping was for Tuesday’s live show and the second taping will be for next week’s show on December 24th.

In regards to the reason for the double set of tapings, this was due to WWE giving their NXT brand staff and talent the Christmas holiday week off as a break.

In regards to notable moments from the tapings, one new match was announced for the card of WWE’s NXT New Year’s Evil 2025 event on January 7, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. This new match announced was a NXT Championship Triple Threat match of Eddy Thorpe vs. Oba Femi vs. Trick Williams (c). This match was setup following the double pin ending to the NXT title match between Thorpe and Williams on the December 17th show and a segment that took place for the December 24th show to make this newly updated match official.

  • Stephanie Vaquer defeated Cora Jade. Following the match, Kelani came out and attacked Jade with a kendo stick.
  • NXT Heritage Cup Championship – Lexis King defeated Charlie Dempsey (c) via Disqualification. Near the end of the match, Dempsey attacked King with brass knuckles resulting in the referee calling for the bell and King being awarded the title as per match rules stipulation.
  • Unholy Union (Alba Fre & Isla Dawn) def. Fatal Influence (Jazmyn Nyx & Jacy Jayne). During the match Fallon Henley attempted to interfere leading to Kayden Carter & Katana Chance coming out to even the odds and prevent Henly from interfering.
  • Ashante “Thee” Adonis defeated Dion Lennox
  • NXT Champion, Eddy Thorpe, and Oba Femi came out for a promo segment in the ring leading to the announcement of the NXT Championship match at New Year’s Evil will now be a Triple Threat match involve all three men.
  • NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contender’s Christmas Chaos Four-way match – OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) defeated No Quarter Catch Crew (Myles Borne & Tavion Heights), Hank And Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger), and The D’Angelo Family (Channing Lorenzo & Luca Crusifino)
