CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins Announced for Jan 6, 2025 RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts featured one new match announced for the card of RAW’s premiere show on Netflix, which takes place on January 6, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

This new match announced was a singles match of CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins.

This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows following Punk’s return and him and Rollins reigniting their bad blood issues with each other. During tonight’s show, Punk came out to the ring and gave a promo bashing Rollins which led to Rollins coming out through the crowd to interrupt. After some insulting words by Rollins in return, Punk went after Rollins and a brawl broke out that led to WWE officials and security coming out and tried to seperate teh two several times only for Rollins and Punk to break away each time and kept brawling on.

In a follow-up segment, an irate RAW GM Adam Pearce chased after Rollins backstage and got into a heated argument over what him and Punk did earlier. An angry Rollins yelled back demanding a match with Punk and Pearce responded stating that he has been trying to get that done if it wasn’t for the two always causing issues.

In another follow-up segment, Pearce was seen backstage with RAW interviewer Cathy Kelly about RAW’s upcoming premiere show on Netflix. Pearce stated that one of the new matches for the show will be Punk taking on Rollins.

Rhea Ripley Reveals She’s #1 Contender for WWE Women’s World Title

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Rhea Ripley revealing that she is currently the #1 Contender for the WWE Women’s World Championship match.

During the show, Judgement Day’s Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio came out to the ring. Mysterio attempted to speak only to be drowned out in boos by the crowd. This led to Morgan grabbing a megaphone and talked about her being the greatest Women’s World Champion of all time and this was the year of Monday Night Morgan, and they’re just getting started. After some more words boasting about herself, Morgan’s speech was cut short by Ripley’s music playing and her coming out to the ring.

Morgan tried to interrupt Ripley only for Ripley to tell her to shut up in return. Ripley stated that this has gone long enough and it’s time they settke this once and for all. Ripley stated that Adam Pearce has made it official and Morgan is looking at the new number one contender for the Women’s World Championship. Ripley then stated that she can see into the future and the only thing Morgan can get excited about is the end of her title reign. Ripley stated that she will be the new Women’s World Champion and all Morgan will be left with is her “chicken tender slut” as Ripley looked at Mysterio when she said it.


Zoey Stark Advances in WWE Women’s IC Title Tournament

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured one First Round match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament to crown its inaugural champion.

This match was a Triple Threat match of Zoey Stark defeated Kayden Carter and Raquel Rodriguez.

As a result of her victory, Stark will be facing off against Dakota Kai in the Semifinal Round of WWE’s Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament.


Mystery Teaser Video Airs on Monday’s WWE RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured a video teasing a potential mystery debut for RAW’s upcoming premiere show on Netflix on January 6, 2025.

During the video, a symbol of “Ø” showed and led to WWE’s ad for their upcoming RAW show on Netflix.

This video could be potentially teasing former AEW talent Penta El Zero Miedo making his official debut soon in WWE soon due to him being known for his “cero miedo” catchphrase. Prior to his official departure from AEW, Penta had been expected to be heading to WWE for the next stop in his wrestling career.


War Raiders Wins WWE World Tag Titles on Monday’s WWE RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured the War Raiders (Ivar & Erik) defeating Judgement Day (JD McDonagh & Finn Balor) to become the new WWE World Tag Team Champions.

This was the War Raiders second WWE World Tag Team Championship victory of their WWE main roster careers and third when including their NXT careers.
