Drew McIntyre Makes Surprise Appearance & Attacks Jimmy Uso on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut featured RAW brand talent Drew McIntyre making a surprise appearance.

During the show, Jimmy Uso came out to the ring with the assistance of a crutch and talked about WarGames and how it didn’t get “Big Jim” but it got his big toe. After some more words about the OG Bloodline’s victory at WarGames and success as a group, Uso talked about also being proud of Solo Sikoa but he might not like what he is doing. Uso then talked about how he doesn’t know what is next for him but he wants everyone to ride with “Big Jim” on his journey to something big next year and nothing will stop him. After some closing words, Uso dropped the microphone and turned around only to get immediately laid out by a Claymore Kick by McIntyre. McIntyre continued his attack on Uso leading to SmackDown GM Nick Alids and WWE officials running out to break it up. Aldis pulled McIntyre away leading to McIntyre laughing and looked at Uso as he left the ring.

McIntyre’s appearance was part of WWE’s ongoing transfer window period for their RAW, SmackDown, and NXT brands.

Naomi Replaces Jade Cargill as Bianca Belair’s New Women’s Tag Team Champion Partner

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Naomi officially replacing Jade Cargill as one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

This was initially setup following Jade Cargill being attacked and taken out by a mystery attacker on the November 22nd show and her and Belair’s reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions being in doubt.

During tonight’s show, Belair and Naomi went up to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis backstage who informed them that they are still investigating who attacked Belair. Aldis then stated that because of Cargill’s medical situation, he will have to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag titles, which led to Belair stating that he can’t do that. This led to Naomi requesting to take over as Belair’s tag team champion partner and Aldis agreeing to it as long as they can defend the titles at next week’s show.

Braun Strowman Revealed as “New” SD Signing on Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured RAW brand talent Braun Strowman being revealed as the newest signing for WWE’s SmackDown brand as part of the ongoing transfer window period.

During last week’s show, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis revealed to Carmelo Hayes that he had recently completed a deal and someone new would be joining SmackDown. Aldis also stated that Hayes would be facing this person on the show.

During tonight’s show, Hayes walked by Aldis backstage and told him that he will make light work of this mystery opponent. Hayes then proceeded to make his way out to the ring. This led to Strowman’s music playing revealing him as both Hayes’ mystery opponent and newest signing for the SmackDown brand. Strowman proceeded to quickly defeat Hayes after a brief struggle by Hayes.
