AEW: Bobby Lashley on Dan Lambert Told Him Tony Khan is a Genuine Person, Ricochet on If First AEW Match with Will Ospreay Lived Up to Expectations, New Match Set for 12/11 AEW Dynamite Winter is Coming 2024

Bobby Lashley Comments on Dan Lambert Telling Him That Tony Khan is a Genuine Person

A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured Bobby Lashley as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Lahsley’s thoughts about a talk he had with Dan Lambert about AEW CEO Tony Khan being an influential factor in his decision to sign with AEW.

“So I have a good friend that was working with AEW before — Dan Lambert. He was American Top Team. He was in AEW for a while, living out his fantasy. Dan’s one of my favorite people in this world. He helped manage me through fighting and everything like that. He’s always been just a great friend, first and foremost.

And I talked to Dan, and we kind of discussed different options. And I asked him about Tony, because I didn’t know, you don’t know anything about Tony if you don’t know him. So I was like, ‘Oh, what about this Tony guy?’ And a lot of things that he told me about him, I was just like, ‘I can respect that.’ He said, ‘He’s got kind of like a little personality like you, in a sense, where he goes out of his way to be nice to people he really likes. He’s a genuine person.’ He told me pros and cons, and I was like, ‘Man, I’d love to be able to meet him.’ But at this time, I was talking to MVP and I was talking to Shelton [Benjamin], and we were like, ‘Let’s run this back. Let’s run the group back. Let’s do it. We have that option. We’re all out at this time. So let’s see if we can go and do this the right way.'”

Ricochet Comments on If His First Match with Will Ospreay in AEW Lived Up to Their Expectations

A recent episode of The Casual Conversations with The Classic podcast featured Ricochet as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ricochet’s thoughts about if his first match with Will Ospreay in AEW on the October 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite lived up to their expectations.

“Absolutely. I think so, especially because I just got here. I literally just got here. So this is just the beginning. This was just supposed to be a taste of what will come later. Again, now we’re in the Continental Classic, we’re in the same block, so now we’re gonna have another match, and we’re gonna have to have a definitive winner this time. I think that’s something he and I both were looking for last time was a definitive winner, but it got messed up, and then in the Triple Threat match, we still didn’t get our [decisive winner]. I do feel though we met our own expectations, and we continue to exceed our own expectations.”

In a separate recent interview with 103.5 Kiss FM’s Hot Tag with Brad radio show, Ricochet gave his thoughts about if he was custom made for AEW.

“Absolutely. I’m not saying I’m the sole reason. I’m just saying. If there wasn’t Ricochet, there wouldn’t be AEW. I’m not saying I’m the sole reason that it happened, but I am saying, what I have done with Ospreay, with PAC, with AR Fox, with Dragon Gate, with PWG, with everything. Overseas. New Japan. Everything I’ve done in my past career helped set up a world where AEW can exist. I’m not saying it’s just me. It’s me, it’s the Young Bucks. It’s Kenny Omega. It’s Ospreay. It’s everybody. I’m just saying, without Ricochet, there would be no Ospreay, really. You know what I’m saying? All of us guys are passionate and without that there would be no AEW.”
