Skye Blue Broken Ankle Injury Status Update
As noted before, Skye Blue has been out of action from AEW since this past July due to a broken ankle injury.
A recent Wrestling Night at the Chicago Wolves themed event for minor league hockey team Chicago Wolves for their November 16th game featured Skye Blue as one of the guests. One of the topics discussed included Blue providing an update on the status of her recovery from her injury.
“We’re getting there. We’re getting there. It’s hard sitting at home and watching [Kyle Fletcher] go to work and being like, ‘I feel fine, I can walk. I can wrestle, right?’ Then I’m like, ‘Oh, no, I can’t.’ But we’re getting there. I just want to come back fully healthy so I can go crazy and do all my hardcore matches and be 100%”

Kota Ibushi Ankles Injury & AEW Return Plans Update
As noted before, Kota Ibushi has been out of action for AEW since this past January due to injuries to both of his ankles. Ibushi is currently expected to return to AEW around the same time as Kenny Omega, who has been out of action since this past January due to diverticulitis.
Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Ibushi. One of the topics discussed included Ibushi providing an update on his current health status and injury recovery.
“I’m at the end of my legs, and it could end at any time. I wanted to preserve the time I had left before I couldn’t do it anymore, and that’s why I was allowed to participate today. I’m really on the edge, but I want to finish contributing to the world of pro wrestling, so I’m participating in various events.”
Ibushi also gave his thoughts about his potential return from injury to AEW.
“AEW will be getting visas again next year, but I thought the Japanese wrestling industry was somehow going down, and I wanted to raise it up. That’s why we are doing everything for free this time.”
Nick Wayne Comments on His Upcoming Match Against HOOK at Hammerstein Ballroom
This past Saturday’s AEW Rampage show featured the announcement of a singles match between Nick Wayne and HOOK to take place at the December 21st episode of AEW Dynamite at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York.
Wayne reflected earlier today on Twitter about his upcoming match against HOOK and getting to wrestle at the Hammerstein Ballroom for the first time in his wrestling career.
“Once upon a time, a 16 year old Nick Wayne was supposed to wrestle at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Not being 18, I got kicked off the show from being snitched out to the athletic commission.
3 years later, I’ll walk into NYC to embarrass and expose HOOK, and finally get my Hammerstein moment I’ve always deserved.”
