New Day 10-Year Anniversary Special Announced for WWE RAW Show This November
WWE announced that they will be holding a special episode of WWE RAW later this month in honor of the New Day’s ten year anniversary as a group.
Following Monday’s taped WWE RAW show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WWE released a digital exclusive backstage video featuring RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and Kofi Kingston. Pearce informed Kingston that he wanted to celebrate New Day’s upcoming anniversary with a special episode of RAW in honor of the group being one of the most decorated tag teams in WWE history. Kingston responded stating that it was a great idea and talked about New Day going through a rough patch of late but felt everything would be alright when the anniversary came around.
Pearce stated that he would make arrangements but did not reveal a date or any other details for this upcoming special.
New Day officially made their debut as a group on November 28, 2014 featuring Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E as its members.
Rob Van Dam Comments on His Surprise WWE Appearance on 10/29 NXT Show
As noted before, last week’s WWE NXT show featured ECW legend and WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam making a surprise appearance.
A recent episode of the 1 Of A Kind with RVD podcast featured co-host RVD giving his thoughts about his recent surprise appearance in WWE for their NXT brand.
“I’ve been there twice before, and it was a long time ago, ten years ago, and it did look a little different. They definitely had moved some stuff around, and if they had that many warehouses, then I didn’t realize it before, but a lot of that is theirs. It was really cool. It was just a good experience, everybody was grateful. Everyone’s happy and giving the legends a lot of love. So nothing terribly exciting, but also seeing a lot of my peers as well, and Bubba Ray Dudley, he was standing in the ring when I walked in one time to that area, and I slid in behind him to surprise him, and his calfs almost exploded in my face. I texted him and told him that [laughs], but his calves were huge and veins popping out. Looks like he’s been doing some toe raises, so good job, Bubba. Saw Shawn Michaels, saw Terry Taylor, yes I did [see William Regal].”
RVD also gave his thoughts about interacting with NXT General Manager Ava at the show.
“She was cool. Everybody was cool. I was just kind of like an extra, popping in and being me, and they were all there, learning and doing….I met everybody, everyone was super cool. They all came up and go, ‘Hi, I’m Veronica, good to meet you.”

Update on WWE’s Recent Batch of Talents Releases
As noted before, Baron Corbin, Indi Hartwell, and Tegan Nox were released by WWE this past Friday.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that the recent online rumors of WWE doing more talent releases within the upcoming months are just people guessing and not having any actual information.
Sapp reported that since 2020, there has never been any clear sign or indicator of another round of cuts coming ahead of time from the company despite many wrestlers being released over that time period.
Sapp reported that this kind of information usually does not get leaked ahead of time and gave examples of Hartwell, who was used a week before her release, and Corbin, who was part of a recent Netflix commercial shot, over how sudden the talent releases can happen.
