More on AEW Dynamite Viewership for October 30th
The October 30th episode of AEW Dynamite saw AEW gain a small increase in key demographic rankings but suffered a slight decline in overall viewership. This week’s show was notable for being the Fright Night Dynamite special.
AEW drew 628,000 viewers and a 0.19 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 6th place, according to Wrestlenomics.
Detailed key demographic viewership breakdowns were not available in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Meltzer reported that the season was due to a delay in Neilsen releasing the ratings numbers report for that night’s television shows.

This reportedly offset their overall key demographic viewership being equal to last week’s show.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the 2024 MLB World Series Game 5 of Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Yankees drew 18,152,000 viewers on FOX, the NBA game of Boston Celtics vs. Indiana Pacers drew 1,1011,000 viewers on ESPN, the NBA game of San Antonio Spurts vs. Oklahoma City Thunder drew 733,000 viewers on ESPN, Survivor drew 4,240,000 viewers on CBS, The Challenge drew 396,000 viewers on MTV, Sistas Series drew 760,000 viewers on BET, and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City drew 343,000 viewers on BRAVO.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 257,000 viewers. Meltzer reported that AEW’s male/female viewership skew was 63.2% in favor of males.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 24.5% in overall viewership and down 30.3% in key demographic viewership.

The October 25th episode of AEW Rampage saw AEW gain a small increase in key demographic ratings and a slight increase in overall viewership.
AEW drew 241,000 viewers and a 0.09 key demographic rating on TNT. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was #25 place.
Dave Meltzer reported that the main reason for AEW’s increases that week was due to the large gain from their older key demographic viewership group, which its percentage was not given. This reportedly mostly offset the stiff sports competition from the 2024 MLB World Series and the large decline from their younger key demographic viewership group, which was down 46.7% compared to the prior week’s show.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the 2024 MLB World Series Game 1 of New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers drew 14,163,000 viewers on FOX and 253,000 viewers on FOX Deportes, the NBA game of Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Lakers drew 1,369,000 viewers on ESPN, the College football game of Louisville vs. Boston College drew 879,000 viewers on ESPN2, Scare Tactics drew 368,000 viewers on USA Network, 90 Day Fiance drew 326,000 viewers on TLC, and On Patrol Live drew 501,000 viewers on REELZ Channel.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 116,000 viewers. AEW’s 18-34 had 9,000 viewers (down 59.1%), Females 18-34 had 7,000 viewers (down 12.5%), Males 35-49 had 69,000 viewers (up 50%), and Females 35-49 had 31,000 viewers (up 287.5%). Meltzer reported that AEW’s males/female viewership split was 67.2% in favor of males.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 24.5% in overall viewership and down 3.3% in key demographic viewership. Meltzer reported that AEW’s 18-34 key demographic viewership was down 50% compared to the same week last year.

AEW drew 321,000 viewers and a 0.09 key demographic rating on TNT. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was #22 place.
Dave Meltzer reported that the main reason for AEW’s declines that week was due to a combination of the stiff sports competition from the 2024 MLB World Series and the decline from their younger males key demographic viewership group, which was down 19% compared to the prior week’s show, and their older key demographic viewership group, which its percentage was not given. This reportedly offset the increase from their younger female key demographic viewership group, which was up 5.9% compared to the prior week’s show.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the 2024 MLB World Series Game 2 of New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers drew 13,713 viewers on FOX and 385,000 viewers on FOX Deportes, the College football game of LSU vs. Texas A&M drew 5,062,000 viewers on ABC, the College football game of Penn State vs. Wisconsin drew 3,342,000 viewers on NBC, the College football game of Michigan State vs. Michigan drew 1,729,000 viewers on Big Ten Network, the College football game of Florida State vs. Miami drew 1,532,000 viewers on ESPN, the College football game of Kansas vs. Kansas State drew 708,000 viewers on ESPN2, and On Patrol Live drew 450,000 viewers on REELZ Channel.
