Adam Cole Comments on Having No Plans of Leaving AEW & Wanting to Retire in the Company
A recent episode of the Stick To Wrestling podcast featured Adam Cole as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cole’s thoughts about him having no plans of leaving AEW and wanting to retire in the company.
“Yes, yes (it is my goal to end my career in AEW). I believe so. Of course, like we say in pro wrestling, obviously never say never. You never know what’s gonna happen but I love AEW with all of my heart. I love our crew, I love our boss, I love our fans. I absolutely love it here and have no real plans of leaving.”
Cole also gave his thoughts about if the original plan was for him to defeat MJF for the AEW World Championship had he not suffered an ankle injury last year.
“So, as you know in the world of professional wrestling, there are constantly different ideas being thrown around or changes constantly. So, do I know for sure that I was gonna be in line to becoming the AEW World Champion? I’m not totally sure but that’s certainly where it seemed like we were going. That’s certainly the direction that I think very possibly could have happened had I not been injured which really did add to the mental anguish of the entire process but again, there are constant roadblocks thrown our way all the time. We gotta adapt, we have to pivot, and I still have a lot of my wrestling career left so I certainly hope the AEW World Title is in my future in the future.”

Cody Rhodes Comments on Reason for His Departure from AEW Not Due to Brandi Rhodes nor Tony Khan Issues
A recent episode of the Flagrant podcast featured former AEW talent and current WWE talent Cody Rhodes. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about his departure from AEW in early 2022 was not due to any issues related to Brandi Rhodes nor AEW CEO Tony Khan.
“There are so many factors that went into it. When I start talking about this, people try to cite, ‘Oh, it was this. It was this.’ Here’s what I can tell you it wasn’t. It wasn’t anything to do with Tony (Khan) and Brandi. That’s a big one you hear all the time that ‘Tony didn’t sign Brandi.’ No, Brandi had been re-signed. Rhodes To The Top, we had a nice show on TBS, that had been renewed for a second season. Go Big Show.
It was just a situation that felt icky. This is how I look at it in the end, I had really great memories with all of them, all the way back to All In. I had a really beautiful experience for a while, and I wanted to keep the memories good. I wanted to be able, in ten years, if I see those guys, I wanted to keep them good. I also wanted them to know, this is the Louisiana Purchase of wrestling, I will make sure, but I had great memories with them, and I wanted them to know.”

Orange Cassidy Comments on Potential of Winning AEW World Title
Youngstown Studio held a recent interview with Orange Cassidy. One of the topics discussed included Cassidy’s thoughts about the potential of him becoming an AEW World Champion in the future and what it would mean to him.
“AEW World Champion, to me, represents professional wrestling, and I feel that it represents what professional wrestling should be, can be, is, and to wear that championship, it means that you are the best wrestler in the world. So it’s something I never thought I would try to attain. I wrestled for it one other time, it was right after the pandemic, it was Double or Nothing [2021], and I wrestled against Kenny Omega and PAC in a triple threat, and I pretty much had the match won, but Don Callis ruined that for me, like he does everything else in my life, and I never saw myself in that position. I think I just didn’t want it, I don’t know.”
