As noted before, former TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon resigned from TKO Group and WWE over the fallout of a lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards her during her time in the company.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that McMahon is currently in the process of launching a new company.
Johnson reported that those spoken to with knowledge of the situation stated that McMahon has been in the process of setting up a new company that was described as being an “entertainment hub company” that would financially back, develop, and produce film and television productions. Johnson also reported that the current belief from those spoken to is that there are no plans for this company to launch anything similar to WWE and would instead focus on fiction and non-fiction projects.
Johnson also reported that several WWE alumni are currently working with McMahon to help get the company prepared with the idea of officially unveiling it if or once McMahon’s legal issues are revolved.
Among those reportedly working with McMahon for his new company includes former WWE COO Brad Blum, who had been McMahon’s Chief of Staff prior to McMahon’s resignation in TKO and WWE. Blum had departed from WWE this past May following his return to the company this past January following a previous departure in Summer of 2023. Both departures were related to McMahon’s departures from WWE during that time period.
Another person working with McMahon for this new company reportedly is Kristen Prouty, former WWE liaison to Hollywood. Prouty was released by WWE this past May as part of a round of layoffs at the time as part of Endeavor’s larger waves of staff cutbacks following their purchase of WWE and merger of WWE and UFC.
Johnson reported that McMahon’s new company is currently expected to be based out of the Los Angeles arena if and when it officially launches.
Johnson also reported that former WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn has not been involved with McMahon’s new venture in any capacity based on those spoken to.
