Penelope Ford vs. Robyn Renegade Announced for Saturday’s AEW Collision Show

AEW announced one new match for the card of this Saturday’s AEW Collision show at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

This new match announced was a singles match of Penelope Ford vs. Robyn Renegade.

This will be Ford’s first match in AEW since December of 2022 and her first match in general since February of 2023 for DDT Pro Wrestling.

Taz Total Knee Replacement Surgery Update

As noted before, AEW commentator Taz has been absent from AEW since earlier this month due to total knee replacement surgery and recovery.

Taz provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that he has been getting stronger every day since undergoing successful surgery and has been doing a lot of physical therapy work for his recovery.

It is currently not known when Taz will make his return to AEW.

AEW WrestleDream 2024 Estimated PPV Buys Update

AEW reportedly is currently estimated to have generated around 105,000 pay-per-view buys for their WrestleDream 2024 event earlier this month in Tacoma, Washington, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources within AEW stated that they currently estimate that WrestleDream 2024’s buys will end up being around the same as this past September’s All Out 2024 event, which would be around 105,000 buys.

Meltzer reported that every PPV provider who carried the show has generated a buys number higher than All Out 2024 but this was to be expected due to the loss of Bleacher Report for AEW’s WrestleDream 2024 show. Meltzer reported that it is currently not known if these increases have been enough to have offset the buys that Bleacher Report usually generated for AEW PPV events this year.

In regards to cable television PPV buys, Meltzer reported that WrestleDream 2024’s buys are currently up 4.5% compared to All Out 2024 based on updated late buys numbers based on the same number of days after the event.
