Killswitch Double Pneumonia Illness Update – Killswitch Reportedly Dealing with Complications of Pneumonia in Both Lungs

As noted before, Killswitch has been hospitalized since late September due to a double pneumonia illness and was on oxygen due to his low oxygen levels in his blood.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that Killswitch recently developed complications from pneumonia in both lungs. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Killswitch might have had a compromised immune system due to other factors such as possibly sleep apnea.

In regards to the cause of Killswitch’s illness, Alvarez reported that Killswitch had recently caught a flu and combined with a bad oxygen uptake as a result of something else turned his illness into pneumonia. Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that Killswitch is currently at a high risk for a relapse.

Alvarez reported that the current big concern is that there may be permanent damage based on the medical tests Killswitch has been undergoing. Doctors reportedly recently discovered calcification in a heart value and his body is not producing iron requiring the need for more tests.

Killswitch reportedly recovered enough that he was recently discharged from the hospital but he is still on oxygen due to him still being in bad shape. Killswitch’s oxygen levels reportedly are still poor enough that he can’t even do day-to-day activities due to it leaving him out of breath and he’s not allowed to train for an in-ring return due to being at a high risk for relapse. Killswitch reportedly is also currently not allowed to travel for at least four to six weeks and has to see a specialist as soon as he can get in.

In regards to the future of Killswitch’s wrestling career, Alvarez reported that Killswitch’s current health situation is bad enough that it could be a potential career-ending issue.
