Gail Kim on Not Thinking She Would Get Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame & Her Legacy Being in TNA

A recent virtual fan signing event for K&S WrestleFest featured former WWE and TNA wrestler and current TNA producer Gail Kim as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kim’s thoughts about the potential of her being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in the future and her career legacy being with TNA Wrestling.

“I don’t think I would go in [laughs]. 100% [my legacy is in TNA]. My career, all my accomplishments, I mean besides the fact that I won the title on my first night. I’ll always be appreciative of that fact. I wouldn’t take it away now, but I think if you asked me back then, I was very green when I started and when I won that title, it was off a lot of hype. I’d never been a babyface before, I had worked as a heel on the independent scene. So to be a babyface and thrown as a champion on your first night out in WWE, it was crazy. I wasn’t ready. So when you start at the top and you’re not ready, it’s just hard. You’re gonna go down. There’s nowhere else to go if you start at the top.”

In response to a question from the host about them believing that Kim was qualified to be inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame given her success in TNA and her contributions to women’s wrestling, Kim responded stating:

“I don’t know. I’d just know it makes me uncomfortable. [Laughs] Of course you want to be recognized. In all of honesty, of course you want to be recognized for your passion and your hard work. That would be a bridge we’d cross if and when it ever happened.”
