Two Champion vs. Champion Matches Made Official for WWE Crown Jewel 2024

Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event in Atlanta, Georgia featured the announcement of two champion vs. champion matches for the new Men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel Championships to take place at Crown Jewel 2024, which takes place on November 2nd in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During Monday’s WWE RAW show in St. Louis, Missouri, one of the two matches was confirmed to be official for the event.

This confirmed match is a Men’s Crown Jewel Championship match of Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther.

This match was setup following Gunther successfully defending his WWE World Championship against Sami Zayn and being confronted by Rhodes as the show went to a close.

While the other match has yet to be made official, this second match is currently scheduled to be Nia Jax vs. Liv Morgan.

Jey Uso Appearance Announced for Tuesday’s NXT Show

WWE recently announced one new segment for the card of Tuesday’s NXT show at The Factory At The District in Chesterfield, Missouri.

This new segment announced was WWE Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso making an appearance in NXT.

This segment was setup following a backstage digital exclusive interview at Monday’s WWE RAW show featuring Uso’s thoughts about Bron Breakker’s attack on him following his Intercontinental title match against Xavier Woods and revealed he will be showing up on Tuesday’s NXT show.

“Hell yeah, we can confirm that. What up, Sexyy Red? St. Louis’ own. You know what I’m saying? But hell yeah, I’m gonna stay one more night in NXT. I’ll be at NXT so we can yeet.”

This past Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event reportedly generated around 200,000 searches on Google for the night, according to the Wrestling Observer. Dave Meltzer reported that Bad Blood 2024’s searches total was in line with the typical amount for a non-major WWE PLE event. In regards to specific wrestlers, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson reportedly generated around 50,000 searches that night following his surprise return at the event.

This past Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event featured WWE Hall of Famers Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard among the WWE Hall of Famers and Legends in attendance. While Diamond Dallas Page had signed a WWE Legends deal following his appearance on the show, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that neither Anderson nor Blanchard have signed Legends deals with the company.

As noted before, this past Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event also featured a post-show storyline angle involving Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens being seen in a heated argument in the parking lot that turned physical. Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE officials were very happy with how the angle came off, including the effect of making it appear “very spontaneous.” Those spoken to reportedly stated that Rhodes was “a little roughed up” following the segment but he did no suffer any major injuries from it.

This past Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event also featured Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns defeating The Bloodline in a tag team match in the main event of the show and Jimmy Uso making his surprise return and reuniting with Reigns. This past Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event also featured WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg making an appearance and being involved in an angle with Gunther. During the post-show press conference, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque gave his thoughts about the potential of Goldberg wrestling again in WWE stating “never say never.” Levesque recently posted a video on Twitter featuring him and Goldberg backstage and stated “Thanks for coming to #WWEBadBlood @Goldberg . The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that Tuesday’s NXT show in Chesterfield, Missouri is currently expected to end up with the smallest paid attendance for a WWE television show since the COVID-19 pandemic. Meltzer reported that WWE has sold and distributed around 1,464 tickets as of Monday evening.

WWE recently announced one new segment for this week’s WWE SmackDown show on October 11th in Greenville, South Carolina. This new segment was Roman Reigns “sounds off” promo segment.

WWE recently released two new videos on their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was a WWE Tag Team Championship Tables, Ladders, & Chairs match of The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray & Spike Dudley) vs. Christian & Chris Jericho vs. Jeff Hardy & Rob Van Dam vs. Kane (c). The second new match was a “Mortis’ unseen WWE dark matches: From the WWE Vault.”

The official trailer for the upcoming comedy film Let’s Start a Cult featuring CM Punk among its cast was recently released.

In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, current NXT Champion Trick Williams gave his thoughts about Booker T being among those who have been very helpful to him during his time in WWE’s NXT brand. Williams stated “He’s another guy who’s been just so helpful to me. We see the ad libs and everything he does with the entrance, but behind the scenes, we break down film. He says, ‘See that step right there? Get rid of that.’ We are talking about skill and why I’m getting better.
