Netflix Reportedly to Air WWE Bad Blood 2024 Event in Brazil

Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston and Fightful’s Robert DeFelice reported that Netflix currently has this Saturday’s WWE Bad Blood 2024 event airing live on their service in Brazil.

Thurston reported that WWE’s event currently is listed to be airing on Netflix’s service in Brazil as a live event this Saturday. Thurston also reported that when he tried a few other South American countries that Netflix is available in, WWE’s event did not appear on the service when searched for in those countries.

Verified with a VPN that in Brazil it does appear WWE Bad Blood will air live on Netflix on Saturday.

DeFelice reported that he was able to confirm that WWE’s Bad Blood 2024 event currently shows up as being scheduled to air as a live event on Nelfix in Brazil.

It is currently not known if this is just meant to be another test stream by Netflix for a WWE event ahead of WWE RAW moving to their service in January of 2025.

Pat McAfee & Cody Rhodes Teases “The Big Guy” Returning to WWE Soon

A recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show podcast featured Cody Rhodes as the guest.

Following the show, Rhodes posted a video on Instagram involving a post-show conversation he had with Pat McAfee that involved McAfee teasing that he heard that “The Big Guy” is coming back soon to WWE.

Pat McAfee – “The big guy’s coming back this week.”
Cody Rhodes – “Is he?”
McAfee – “You tell me.”
Rhodes – “Which one?”
McAfee – “Okay. Awesome. I don’t know. You told me enough. You just told me enough.
Rhodes – “A lot happening. Too much happening.”

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials currently have scheduled to bring in several WWE Legends for this Saturday’s Bad Blood 2024 event in Atlanta, Georgia. Johnson reported that those currently planned to attend the event included Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner, Diamond Dallas Page, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, Madusa, and Jacqueline Moore.

Drew McIntyre’s brother John announced on Twitter that their aunt recently passed away.

As noted before, Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston was granted documents related to WWE’s deal with the city of San Antonio for the 2023 Royal Rumble event following a length delay caused by WWE’s legal actions to prevent the public release of the documents. Thurston reported that San Antonio city government recently provided a full copy of their contract with WWE for the event. This document reportedly included an additional three pages containing information that was previously excluded from his request. This information reportedly revealed that WWE’s deal for the Alamodome included an exclusivity clause that prevented other wrestling companies from being able to hold events at the Alamodome for a time period spanning 90 days prior to and 60 days after their Royal Rumble 2023 event.

WWE recently released five new videos to their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was a WWE Championship No DQ match of Eric Bischoff vs. John Cena (c) from the October 3, 2005 WWE RAW show. The second new video was Title vs. Career, WWE Championship Hell in a Cell match of Cactus Jack (career) vs. Triple H (title). The third new video was a “The Best Hell in a Cell Matches: WWE Top 10.” The fourth new video was a “Complete history of The Shield – Chapter 2 (2017-2018): WWE Playlist.” The fifth new video was an Eight-Man Tag Team match of The Undertaker, John Cena, & DX (Shawn Michaels & Triple H) vs. Randy Orton, The Legacy (Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase Jr.), & CM Punk.

This past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show in Chicago, Illinois was notable for being NXT’s premiere show on The CW. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that while this week’s show was added to The CW App, those spoken to stated that there are currently no plans to add NXT’s library to the service.

Variety reported that NBC Universal and Charter Communications/Spectrum recently agreed to a new multi-year deal that included terms giving Spectrum TV Select video customers a free subscription to NBC’s ad-supported Peacock Premium tier in the coming months. Charter reportedly will also allow their video customers to upgrade to the the ad-free Peacock Premium+ tier if they chose to do so.

In a recent interview with WWE, Nia Jax gave her thoughts about her belief about how her time away from WWE was probably the best thing that ever happened to her for her passion towards wrestling. Jax stated “It was probably the best thing that ever happened to me (time away from WWE). At first, yes, it was definitely difficult to sit there and realize I won’t be out there entertaining everybody on the road and enjoying the travels. But, it actually helped restore my passion and love for wrestling, because I felt like I was starting to lose a little bit of the why… I tell people all the time, it was one of the best things that happened to me. I felt like I reset Nia Jax… Exactly (it shifted my perspective) and now, I’m the best Nia Jax ever. In a recent interview with the No Contest-Wrestling podcast, CM Punk gave his thoughts about his upcoming Hell In A Cell match against Drew McIntyre at WWE Bad Blood 2024. Punk stated “I feel like I have to deliver a classic. And I have to stay true to myself, my beliefs of what good wrestling is, and that cell that I feel like as a company we’ve gotten away from for so long. Where it just became a toy. Like, ‘We’re just going to have a pay-per-view, call it Hell in a Cell, and everyone’s going to go inside and have matches.’ When in reality that should be presented as the most dangerous, diabolical thing that any wrestler would ever want to do. I want to bring it back to what it’s supposed to be. I don’t want to have a cell that needs a match, I want to have a match that needs the cell. And I feel like me and Drew have done that. In a recent interview with the Gabby AF podcast, AEW Vice President QT Marshall gave his thoughts about the misconception that he and Punk didn’t get along in AEW and Punk had demanded Marshall to be taken off of AEW Collision. Marshall stated “One, there was a huge misconception that him and I didn’t get along, that he put a wedge between Tony and I. I don’t think that was the case because we actually spoke in Newark at the Prudential Center and when I first heard about the fact that there was an issue, I went right to the source and I spoke to him like a man and he listened to me like a man. We had another person in there, just in case, just so we could talk because I always felt like it’s easier just to do that. We both realized like, oh, he doesn’t want me with Will Hobbs because he saw more for Will, and I didn’t want to be with Will as his manager because I didn’t want to be a manager. That was the end of it, right? Then of course, like a month later, he was kind of gone anyway, so there was that. Then, fast forward, he returns to WWE and I get a text from Cody saying — and this is like after I had left AEW so the rumor was that I left AEW because I wanted to be a big star and CM Punk ruined my relationship with Tony Khan, couldn’t be further from the truth, both sides. Would I love to be a big star? Of course. That’s not what I was going for though, right? Like I said, all of the stuff about Punk, I didn’t even know because I wasn’t there, I was in Mexico getting hit with light tubes by Penta just to prove to my boss that I can get over. In a recent episode of The Ringer Wrestling Show, host and Mr. McMahon series producer David Shoemaker gave his thoughts about some of the people that he wished took part in the docuseries. Shoemaker stated “There are some people who, obviously, they were on the first list that didn’t get in because the lineup was so stacked. There were parts where guys like Jim Ross, Jerry Brisco, who worked so closely with Vince for so long. Would’ve loved to talk to them. Obviously, we reached out to Janel Grant and her attorneys. Some other people. There were rumors and stuff about Rita Chatterton. That would have been ideal, to be able to talk to everybody there. We were racing against the clock a little bit. There were some people we would’ve wanted to interview who passed away before we could get to them. That’s what you have to deal with. I would’ve loved to get Dusty Rhodes on tape to back up the story about Vince offering him the Hulk Hogan spot. Would’ve loved to talk to other old timers, Gorilla Monsoon and those guys. In a separate interview with the SI Media podcast, David Shoemaker gave his thoughts about Linda McMahon not being the most forthcoming person they interviewed for Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries. Shoemaker stated “I think it’s clear from watching, you asked about Vince not giving you anything, Linda was not the most forthcoming person in that interview either. I think I was there for that one, I don’t even remember if there was more good stuff on the cutting room floor. I certainly wish we could have gotten more details about that from her.
