AEW Collision Taping Spoilers for October 5th Show – New Match Set for AEW WrestleDream 2024

AEW held a new set of television tapings for AEW Collision on Thursday at the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio.

This taping will be for this week’s Collision episode on Saturday, October 5th.

In regards to notable moments from the tapings, one new match was announced for the card of AEW WrestleDream 2024 on October 12th at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington. This new match was an AEW World Tag Team match of Private Party vs. The Young Bucks (c). This match was setup following Private Party defeating House of Black and Top Flight in a #1 Contender Three-way match.

Full results from AEW Collision tapings on October 3rd:

• Darby Allin defeated Johnny TV. Following the match, Allin issued an open challenge for WrestleDream 2024 and invited anyone in the back to step up to face him. This led to nobody coming out to answer but as Allin was leaving, he was attacked by Brody King on the stage.
• Christian Cage came out to the stage and declared himself the reigning, defending next AEW Champion but he would not sign for his title match to take place in a “shithole” like Toledo. Cage stated that their surprise is Nick Wayne will be competing later in the show.
• The Outrunners (Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd) defeated Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson)
• Willow Nightingale defeated Trish Adora. During the match, AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May was seen in the front row. Following the match, May attempted to slap Nightingale only for Nightingale to pull her over the railing and the two brawled before May escaped to the back.
• Wheeler Yuta defeated BEEF
• The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Kyle O’Reilly) defeated The Premier Athletes (Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese). The Premier Athletes’ Josh Woods got involved at one point leading to Mark Briscoe coming out to deal with Woods.
• Four-way match – Hologram defeated Komander, Nick Wayne, and Action Andretti
• Kris Statlander defeated Zoey Lynn. Following the match, TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and Kamille came out. Mone stated that she is the face of the women’s division and the CEO so no one is going to disrespect her. Mone then sent Kamille to go to the ring leading to Kamille laying out Statlander.
• AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender Three-way match – Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) defeated House of Black (Buddy Matthews & Malakai Black) and Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin)
