Tony Khan Announces Wednesay’s AEW Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary Show to Have “Biggest Overrun Ever” in AEW History

As noted before, AEW CEO Tony Khan recently announced that tonight’s AEW Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary Show will be having a “significant” overrun.

Khan provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that TBS granted AEW their biggest ever overrun for tonight’s show and stated that it could be as long as 30 minutes and even more.


AEW Files New Owen Hart Trademark

AEW recently filed a new trademark based on Owen Hart to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

A trademark for “King of Harts” was filed on October 1st for merchandise-related purposes. This was Hart’s nickname in WWE following his King of the Ring 1994 tournament victory.

This was AEW’s second filing on the name following a previous attempt in 2021 that was blocked over legal issues. The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported at the time that AEW had wanted to use the name for the Cup trophy for their Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.


Jay White Foot Injury Status Update

As noted before, Jay White has been out of action for AEW since this pats July due to an foot injury. White was believed to have recently recovered from his injury and could make his return to AEW television soon.

ComicBook.com held a recent interview with Juice Robinson. One of the topics discussed included Robinson providing an update on fellow Bang Bang Bang/Bullet Club Gold member White’s recovery from his foot injury.

Jay’s taking his time. Sometimes you got to take time in this business and come back better, and that’s what he’s doing. So of course, we’re excited for him to come back, because when all four of us are together, we feel like we are as strong as we can be, and we could take on any four wrestlers, any combination. We’re definitely, like everybody, looking forward to having King Switch back.
