Video: Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Bayley, Naomi

Last week on SmackDown, Nia Jax challenged Naomi and Bayley to a Tag Team Match with her and Tiffany Stratton. If Naomi and Bayley win, whoever scores the win will challenge Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship. If they lose, whoever takes the loss must leave SmackDown.

Backstage: Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton

WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax is listening to Tiffany Stratton talk and looks a little annoyed. Stratton says it will be great to never see either Bayley or Naomi’s faces on SmackDown again. Jax says if Stratton loses tonight, it might be a good idea if she leaves SmackDown. Jax walks off.

Video: Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns

Last night at Georgia Tech, Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns went face-to-face on the field at Georgia Tech. Reigns went to Georgia Tech and was a member of their football team. Rhodes met him in the center of the field. Reigns had a hard time looking at Rhodes with the championship, the same title Rhodes beat him for at WrestleMania 40, ending one of the longest title reigns in history.

Reigns says everything Rhodes puts his eyes on in this field is his. Years ago, he shed blood, sweat, and tears on this field. Reigns said this is his field, stadium, and city. Reigns asks Rhodes what he has done with his city. Rhodes says on the other side of this stadium is the Omni. Multiple generations of his family have bled for and in this city. Reigns played football and then went back to the beach. This may be Reigns’ field, but this city is Rhodes’ home. Reigns says this is Rhodes’ home. Reigns wants to cut to the chase. Rhodes signed himself into a lose-lose situation. Rhodes has everything to lose and is dealing with a whole situation of people who have nothing to lose. They took Jimmy from him. They took his Wise Man. They took his Bloodline, and they took his Ula Fala. Reigns has nothing to lose. For the first time in a long time, there is no weight on his neck. It’s on Rhodes’. Reigns is a man with no country.

Rhodes says Reigns is telling him this like he’s supposed to be surprised. Rhodes told him before their first WrestleMania that this would happen. He’d be a chief without a tribe. They took Jimmy, his Wise Man, and the Ula Fala. Does Reigns really think he has nothing to lose? Rhodes sees the situation and will raise him another. Rhodes tells him to take a look around WWE. They’ve already got a Tribal Chief. It’s not Reigns. They have a WWE Champion. It’s not Reigns. If Reigns can’t even beat his own Bloodline, who is standing here right now? It’s not the biggest box office attraction in the history of WWE. It’s not that guaranteed WrestleMania main eventer. It’s the guy they used to call Roman Reigns.

Reigns looks fired up and asks Rhodes what he wants. Rhodes says he wants Reigns’ word that he will have his back so Rhodes can have his. Reigns says, “I give you my word. I’ll have your back but just understand this. When it’s all done, I’m taking back what’s mine.” They both turn to walk off and are heading in the same direction. They stop. Rhodes looks at him and says, “It’s not yours to take.” Reigns tells him he is in his way. Rhodes steps aside. Reigns says, “You’re in my way in life.” Reigns then walks off by himself, a man with no island.

Backstage: Kevin Owens

Byron Saxton comes up to Kevin Owens and asks for another comment on the confrontation between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Owens says he’ll talk about it out in the ring.

In-Ring: Kevin Owens, The Bloodline, DIY, Nick Aldis

“The Prizefighter” Kevin Owens makes his way to the ring to a good reception. A “KO” chant picks up. Owens thanks the crowd for the reception. Byron Saxton asked him twice in ten minutes about the situation with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. People want to know what he thinks of Rhodes teaming with Reigns after everything Owens has been through with Reigns in the past few years.

Before Owens can say more, WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu of the Bloodline interrupt. Tonga tells the crowd to let the right hand man speak. Tonga shushes the crowd. Last week, Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns embarrassed their Tribal Chief. That was a big mistake. They’ll get what’s coming to them at Bad Blood. As for Kevin Owens, he’ll get what’s coming to him tonight by orders of the real Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa.

Owens says before he starts talking again because no one has ever wanted to hear what he has to say ever, they can just skip the whole thing and let him punch him in the face. Owens knocks Tonga and Loa away before confronting Fatu. The Bloodline quickly triple-teams Owens before #DIY hits the ring for the save. Owens gets Fatu out of the ring. #DIY hits Tonga with a Shatter Machine.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis comes out with security to keep the peace. Aldis says he’s getting deja vu and is tired of them fighting with no bell. Aldis does the math with three on each side and makes a 6-Man Tag Team Match. This will be tonight’s main event.
