Bret Hart Appearance Announced for Next Week’s WWE RAW Season Premiere Show

WWE recently announced that WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart will be making an appearance at next week’s WWE RAW season premiere show on September 9th in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

The announcement was first made by WWE backstage interviewer Jackie Redmond and later confirmed by WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque on Twitter.

WWE Reportedly to Announce New Live Primetime Special on NBC Soon

WrestleVotes reported that their sources stated that WWE will be making an official announcement regarding them holding a new live primetime special on NBC within the next few days.

It was reported that the location for this upcoming special is currently not known but tickets for it are current planned to go on sale starting on September 13th.

It was also reported that those spoken to stated that this upcoming special will likely be taking place on a Saturday date during this December.

This upcoming special will be WWE’s first primetime special on NBC since August of 2008.

WWE NXT talent Lash Legend recently launched a new cooking show called “Dash of Lash” on her YouTube channel.

WWE recently released three new videos on their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was a WWE Top 10 Underrated Intercontinental Champions. The second new video was the Bret Hart vs. Britsih Bulldog match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship from WWF SummerSlam 1992. The third new video was the Lex Luger vs. “Big Cat” Curtis Hughes in a Football Match from WCW’s January 11, 1991 house show event.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a new lawsuit was filed against WWE and UFC by a person named Leland Owens on September 3rd before the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Washington based on recent court records. Johnson reported that Owens is claiming that WWE and he had entered into a verbal agreement over him giving the company ideas to use for their shows and claims he never got paid for it. Owens reportedly is also claiming that WWE sent Daniel Bryan and Sasha Banks to send him a check for $100,000 as “hush money” for a comment made about his daughter by Stephanie McMahon. In the lawsuit, Owens is also claiming that he submitted ideas through Instagram to WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesques, Bryan, and Banks. Owens is asking for a cease and desist to be issued on the part of WWE parent company TKO Group Holdings as well as “what is fair and accurate.”

In a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, co-host Jim Ross stated that he was not interviewed for Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries. Ross stated “No [I wasn’t interviewed for it]. Yeah, [I was also surprised by that] too. What are you afraid of? What’s the powers to be afraid of? Why wouldn’t you interview me? No one closer to Vince than me at certain times of my tenure. Right hand man type material. I never got a call. Maybe they didn’t feel like I was viable enough to follow up. I would have been happy to do an interview if I had been approached. But that didn’t occur, and I’m not sure why because I know every secret, every corner, the whole nine yards. My feelings aren’t hurt because I wasn’t involved in it, might be better that I wasn’t just because it would be easier to watch. As noted before, Drew McIntyre posted a photo on Instagram this past July of himself and Jack Perry hanging out together as a dig against CM Punk for their current storyline feud in WWE that was later deleted by McIntyre. In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, McIntyre gave his thoughts about the reactions he received on social media over his photo with Perry. McIntyre stated “I think it lasted 45 minutes. The numbers I heard were two million impressions or something insane for 45 minutes. It was pretty wild. People enjoyed that immensely. So, yeah, I’m always dancing on that line of what’s acceptable, not acceptable. Make people question things.” McIntyre also stated that he will never answer whether he was told to take the photo down or if he removed it himself. McIntyre also stated the process that led to his photo with Perry. McIntyre stated “I was flying to LA and they just did a show the night before. I’d seen Roderick Strong at the airport, a buddy of mine, and we got to catch up, which was awesome. He was heading to an ROH show I believe. And then on the flight, just saw Jack, had a little chat with him and his missus, and then we snapped a picture, and the internet had a freaking meltdown. A recent Bloomberg Power Players event in New York City, New York featured Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman among the guests. One of the topics discussed included Reigns’ thoughts about his belief that WWE should stick to their “values and morals” in regards to the potential of WWE becoming a more edgier product on Netflix. Reigns stated “If we allow Paul to do Hall of Fame speeches non-stop, we’ll definitely push that envelope but for me, I don’t know. I’ve always enjoyed the challenges of being P.G., and no offense to our predecessors and the people who came before us and the ratings that they revolved around. But to me, it’s more challenging to be able to tell these stories and then it also allows you a broader audience to connect to, which I just really feel like is always the goal. We wanna reach as many people as possible and I think there’s a fine limit to when you can kind of cross that threshold to where you push people off from the product. So, I think there’s gonna be a nice little range there that we can play with and push the envelope in certain senses but I think we need to stick to our values and kind of the morals we’ve set in place and the culture that we have now.” Heyman responded stating “It’s all storyline-dependent also. You know, what does the story call for? There are stories on our show that call for a kiss at the end. There are stories on our show that calls for a punch at the end. There are stories on our show that calls for a level of aggression that transcends into violence. So, it really is storyline-dependent. What is the intensity? What is the purpose?
