Zack Sabre Jr. Wins 2024 G1 Climax Tournament

Sunday’s G1 Climax 2024 Finals event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Tokyo, Japan featured Zack Sabre Jr. defeating Yota Tsuji in the Finals of this year’s G1 Climax tournament.

Following the match, Sabre Jr. gave a victory speech to the crowd and announced that he thought January’s Wrestle Kingdom 19 event was too far away and would be breaking tradition for his shot at the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Sabre Jr. stated that he would be cashing in his shot at NJPW’s King of Pro Wrestling 2024 event, which takes place on October 14th in Tokyo.

This was Sabre Jr.’s first every G1 Climax tournament victory in his NJPW career.

Sunday’s NJPW G1 Climax 2024 event also featured the official announcement of this year’s Royal Quest event, Royal Quest IV, will be taking place on October 20th at the Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.
