WWE VP Comments on WWE Having “No Interest” in Potential Future Co-Promoted Show with AEW
As noted before, AEW CEO Tony Khan recently stated that he would be open to the idea of holding a co-promoted show with WWE in the future.
A recent episode of the Sports Media with Richard Deitsch podcast featured WWE Executive Vice President of Talent Relations & Head of Communications Chris Legentil as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Legentil’s thoughts about WWE currently having no interest in the idea of potentially working with AEW for a co-promoted event in the future.
“No interest.
I just want to make clear. There is definitely a variety of excellent talent that don’t currently reside in WWE. There is no shot there that is being fired. It’s just to say, the answer to your question is no conversation has been had in relation to that.”

In a recent episode of The Rich Eisen Show, The Miz gave his thoughts about WWE’s current boom in popularity and the locker room being at an all-time high in terms of positivity. The Miz stated “We’re always evolving as WWE superstars. Whether you’re a superstar or a company in total, we’re always to make sure that the audience gets what they need. We want to give them the best form of entertainment that we can possibly give them and right now, the locker room is at an all time high of positivity. I think that Triple H has really took the reigns and made this show incredible. He’s given chances to people that may not have gotten chances before and you see what’s happening. I’ve never seen WWE so popular in my twenty year career. I’ve never seen so many superstars that we consider what we call over, which means when they come out, the crowd goes estatic. Whether they’re booing or cheering them, they’re highly engaged and there are so many superstars right now, it’s hard to get on a SummerSlam card. Right now, getting on a PLE is very very difficult to have a match.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
