Various: Shane Haste Confirms New NJPW Contract, Joe Hendry on Why Winning TNA World Title Would be “Best for Business”, Queen of Villains Release Date Set

Shane Haste Confirms He Signed New Contract with NJPW & Reason for His Decision to Stay in NJPW

As noted before, New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Shane Haste is currently believed to have recently signed a new contract with the company to remain there for the foreseeable future.

Irish Wrestling & Entertainment held a recent interview with Haste. One of the topics discussed included Haste confirming the reports of him signing a new contract with NJPW.

“Yeah (I’ve signed a new deal with NJPW). With the other options out there and whatnot, I love Japan. New Japan treat me so well. Seeing how other friends were getting treated at other companies, it just didn’t make things seem very appealing to me compared to just how well New Japan do look after me, how accommodating they are and just the trajectory that TMDK’s going at the moment there, it’s like, I don’t know, why would I wanna leave?”

Haste also gave his thoughts about his recent appearance in AEW and his praise of AEW CEO Tony Khan for the way he hypes up wrestlers for AEW shows.

“I loved AEW. AEW was so much fun too. There’s a lot of similarities between that and WWE because it is (a) national, worldwide wrestling television show but yeah, there’s a lot more freedom there to be yourself and trust. Tony (Khan) trusts the wrestlers to go do what they do, which is great and you come back and he’s so supportive. He loves everything. So I don’t know if that’s a good barometer on if I’m actually good or not but, afterwards I’m like, ooouuu, I’m really good. I can’t remember what match it is but it was one match I had and I’m like, ‘That wasn’t very good. At least I was wasn’t very good’ and he’s like, ‘Man, that was great. Thank you very much’ and I’m like, ‘Maybe I am good.’ A big part of wrestling is confidence. If you’ve got confidence, people will see you in the ring have confidence… You have to have that confidence. You have to have that built up so yeah, that’s the funny difference of it there and chill but the best thing to me in wrestling is the backstage…”

Joe Hendry Comments on Why Winning TNA World Title at TNA Slammiversary 2024 Would be “Best for Business”

Denise Salcedo held a recent interview with Joe Hendry. One of the topics discussed included Hendry’s thoughts about why him winning the TNA World Championship at this Saturday’s TNA Slammiversary 2024 event would be “best for business.”

“Sorry to everyone else but I think me winning the TNA World Championship is absolutely what is best for business. It’s what the fans want and I think we’re an era where the fans are getting what they want. So I am going to go to Montreal and I will deliver what the fans want to see. I will become TNA World Champion. I really believe something special is happening right now and I think I have what it takes to be the guy in TNA Wrestling. As amazing as our roster is, all the people in this match are unbelievable but I really do feel this is my time. And I think that the fans feel that too.”
