Quick Match Results

  1. AEW International Championship – MJF defeated Will Ospreay (c) via Pinfall
    • Near the end of the match, Ospreay setup a Tiger Driver to MJF as the ring announcer gave the 1-minute warning remaining for the match. After giving it a long thought, Ospreay decided against doing the move and placed MJF back down on the mat. This led to MJF shoving Ospreay into the ref to knock him down and struck Ospreay with a hidden object in his hand to lay him out after Ospreay got back up. MJF then covered Ospreay as the referee regained his senses with seconds left in the match for the pinfall victory with just 2 seconds to spare in the 60 minute time limit.
    • Following the match, AEW officials and medics attended to both Ospreay and MJF resulting in an oxygen mask being placed on MJF as he was handed the AEW International title. As both MJF and Ospreay were being attended to, the camera panned over to the ringside area revealing MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring on the ground that had been used as the hidden object by MJF during his match.
  2. TBS Championship Open Challenge match – Mercedes Mone (c) defeated Nyla Rose via Statement Maker (submission)
    • The stipulation of this match was that Britt Baker was to be banned at ringside that was made by the EVPs after Mone had requested it to them. Baker was also not allowed to have been the challenger for the open challenge aspect.
    • Near the end of the match, Mone pulled out a glove with her CEO logo on it as her way of mocking Britt Baker. Mone then locked in a Lockjaw to Rose who countered by biting Mone’s hand to break the hold. This led to Mone locking in a Statement Maker in response to Rose for the tap out victory to retain her title.
    • Following the match, Mone celebrated her victory and walked up to a fan wearing a mask at ringside. Mone proceeded to rip the sign the fan was holding resulting in the fan shoving Mone to teh ground. This fan took off their mask revealing herself to be Baker and leaped over the barricade to chase Mone. This led to Mone running away and security quickly stopping Baker from getting her hands on Mone.
  3. Champion vs. Champion non-title match – Swerve Strickland defeated Kazuchika Okada via Disqualification
    • Near the end of the match, the Young Bucks ran out to the ring and attacked Strickland resulting in the referee calling for the bell.
    • Following the match, a big brawl broke out resulting in The Acclaimed, Jack Perry, Mark Briscoe, and Swerve Strickland all running out to join in. After Strickland was the last one left in the ring, Hangman Adam Page’s music played leading to Strickland slowing turning around and Page coming out to join in on the brawl. After security and AEW officials managed to separate the two groups, Darby Allin’s music played and he came down from the rafters and joined in on the wild brawl that ended with The Elite and Page escaping away with security.

Minoru Suzuki Makes Surprise Return & FTW Title Match with Chris Jericho Set for Next Week’s Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite 250 show also featured Minoru Suzuki making a surprise return appearance to AEW and challenging Chris Jericho for the FTW Championship at next week’s show.

During the show, The Learning Tree came out for their newest TV Time segment. After some words by Jericho talking about being on the very first Dynamite show and Little Rock’s crime statistics, Jericho gave a warning to those who don’t take the advice of the Learning Tree. This led to a video airing showing the Learning Tree taking out HOOK, Katsuyori Shibata, & Samoa Joe in recent weeks. Jericho then asked who would be crazy enough not to listen to the Learning Tree. During the show, Storm’s theme played and came out to the ring. This turned out to be May dressed up as Storm’s “Timeless” character

May grabbed a microphone and called Storm a woman so desperate for the spotlight, that she didn’t see she was giving it all away. May stated that the question should not be why but it should be “Mariah, what took so long?”

May responded to her own question stating that she did not think it would take this long either but she was having so much fun that she couldn’t help string things along until she saw Wembley. May stated that she can be Toni Storm but now can be so much more. May stated “don’t worry Toni, Mariah still loves you.” This led to the crowd chanting “We Want Toni” and May giving a smirk in response. May stated that she never loved Storm more than when she was on her knees begging her to stop. May stated that was Toni’s greatest performance. May then stated that her greatest performance will be at All In because All Elite Wrestling is now All About Mariah.
