Tony Khan Comments on AEW Not Planning a U.S. Stadium Event Anytime in “Immediate Future”
As noted before, AEW is currently rumored to be working on plans to hold a major stadium event next year in the Dallas and Arlington area in Texas.
ComicBook.com held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about if AEW currently has plans to run a stadium event in the United States on par with their All In event at Wembley Stadium n London, England.
“It’s not something that we would be looking to do anytime here in the immediate future. But it is an exciting idea and something I think that we absolutely could do and something that would be very interesting.”
Khan also gave his thoughts about the recent report from Fightful Select about AEW working on plans to run a potential stadium event next year in Texas.
“I can’t comment on the accuracy of such reports or the immediate future, but we’ve had great shows over the years in Texas. We’ve never done an AEW pay-per-view in Texas. We’ve done a lot of Ring of Honor pay-per-views there. A lot of AEW’s biggest TV episodes have been in Texas, but the one thing we’ve never brought is an AEW pay-per-view, and Lord knows there’s a lot of demand for it. I think that would be a fascinating thing for us to try.”
Darby Allin Announced He’s Medically Cleared for In-Ring Return at AEW Dynamite 250
As noted before, Darby Allin suffered a broken foot injury this past March and a broken nose injury following him being hit by a bus this past April. With the exception of this past May’s Double or Nothing 2024 event, Allin has been mostly out of action for AEW since this past March.
A recent episode of the Friday Night Fights podcast featured Allin as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Allin revealing that he was recently medically cleared for his in-ring return at tonight’s AEW Dynamite 250th show in Little Rock, Arkansas.
“Dynamite 250 is actually my return again because if anyone knows, I broke my foot two months ago and then got hit by a bus and broke my nose, and then returned to the ring. I had one match, I was hung upside down with a rope and then kicked in the face with shoes that had superglued thumbtacks to the bottom of them, and the thumbtacks got stuck in my lip. It kind of messed up my septum, and blood was squirting everywhere. So I am medically cleared after all that, and I am back to rock in Little Rock. It’s gonna be fun, I got a lot of crazy stuff planned.”

Dustin Rhodes Comments on His AEW Contract Expires This September & Hopeful of New Deal with AEW
In a recent response to a now-deleted tweet from a fan on Twitter, Dustin Rhodes denied rumors of him wanting to leave AEW. Rhodes also revealed that his current contract expires this September and is currently hopeful that negotiations goes well for a new deal with the company.
