Sami Zayn Comments on Upcoming Match Against Bron Breakker at WWE Money in the Bank 2024

The Toronto Sun held a recent interview with Sami Zayn. One of the topics discussed included Zayn’s thoughts about his upcoming match against Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship at this Saturday’s WWE Money in the Bank 2024 event in Toronto, Canada.

“Bron Breakker certainly has been making a name for himself, for somebody who’s only been here a very short time. I think he brings a crazy amount of athleticism and intensity that I can’t really compare to any superstar I’ve seen that’s come up in a while. But I’ve made a little bit of a name for myself in my own right as a rather tenacious kind of performer in the ring. So I think it’s a very interesting foil, a very interesting matchup with his kind of speed and strength and my sort of tenacity and ability to hang in there. So I think it tells a compelling story, and I think it’s going to be a great match, especially in front of the Toronto audience.”

WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 PPV Buys Update

WWE reportedly generated around 6,000 cable television pay-per-view buys for this past June’s Clash at the Castle 2024 event based on updated late buys purchases, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that Clash at the Castle 2024’s PPV buys surpassed this past May’s King & Queen of the Ring 2024 event which had generated around 5,700 buys after the same amount of days after the event.

Meltzer also reported that Clash at the Castle’s buys are now the highest for a WWE event since this past April’s WrestleMania 40 event.

Ethan Page Comments on Processes Leading to Him Joining WWE

A recent episode of the Talk’n’Shop podcast featured former AEW talent “All Ego” Ethan Page as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Page’s thoughts about the process that led to him joining WWE after leaving AEW.

“It was definitely time to leave. My thought was — I could sit in catering for the next three years and my career would end, or I try and do something before my career ends [laughs]. And here we are.

I ended up being able to leave, thank you for that. After that, I got a random phone call on a layover and I was like, ‘This is not real.’ They’re like, ‘Yes it is, here’s the offer, does that sound good?’ I was like, ‘Yes’ and they hung up. Then someone else called me right after and they’re like, ‘Did you just speak to so and so?’ Yes. ‘Okay, we’re gonna need this, this, this, this, this, this and then we’ll have everything sent over to you.’ I was like, wait a second, that was a real phone call that just happened? It was me flying home from Winnipeg to go work for Sami Callihan in Dayton, Ohio. I had to like fly to Detroit and then pick up my car and drive three hours and I was dreading it. Then I went to do a show and I gotta keep it secret and I got to see all of the boys again before I took off, a bunch of the IMPACT guys were there that I got to see. It was cold and out of nowhere, crazy.”
