Gabe Sapolsky Addresses ROH Sale, Savage Note, FCW

— Gabe Sapolsky visited the “wrestling news” section of the Dragon Gate USA site and left the following comment on the sale of Ring of Honor to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group: “Congrats to former ROH owner Cary Silkin. I am happy for him. This is truly the start of a new chapter of ROH. It is a totally different company now.”

— In addition to mentioning “Macho Man” Randy Savage’s passing during the Cardinals/Royals game last weekend, the New York Yankees took some time Sunday during their Subway Series game against the Mets to give a nod to the wrestling icon. During the game, the Stadium played Village People’s song “Macho Man” and ended it with a graphic of Savage on their Jumbotron. The image prompted applause and cheers from the fans in attendance. Also, Sports Illustrated posted a story about Savage’s dream to become a star in Major League Baseball.
