Scott D’Amore TNA Firing Update – Rhino Reveals D’Amore is Under Non-compete Clause Until Early 2025
As noted before, former TNA Wrestling President Scott D’Amore’s contract was terminated by Anthem Entertainment this past February. Prior to his firing, D’Amore had attempted to purchase TNA from Anthem who were not interested in selling.
K & S WrestleFest held a recent virtual fan signing event featuring Rhino as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rhino revealing that D’Amore is currently under a non-compete clause with TNA as part of the terms of his firing from the company. Rhino stated that he believes that D’Amore’s non-compete expires in February of 2025.
“Someone said — I read online they (AEW) should get Scott D’Amore to run Ring of Honor… It would ease the burden on some of the talent but, Scott’s at home getting paid for — I think till next February and he’s never not worked, you know? Or never gotten paid to not work.”
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Rhino’s comments were accurate and D’Amore is currently under a non-compete clause that prevents him from working for another national promotion in the United States and Canada until February of 2025.

Moose Comments on TNA & WWE Crossover & Interest in Working with WWE Main Roster Talent
K & S WrestleFest held a recent virtual fan signing event featuring current TNA World Champion Moose as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Moose’s thoughts about TNA and WWE’s current working partnership and being interested in working with WWE’s main roster talent instead of NXT talent.
“I don’t know if there’s anybody in NXT that is capable of beating me so, for them to make it worth their while, might wanna bring me in to SmackDown or Raw or somebody — I’ve beat (Drew) McIntyre, I beat Bobby Lashley. Am I gonna wrestle Wes Lee? Come on. There’s great wrestlers in NXT, don’t get me wrong but it’s like, I’ve already beaten guys there on their main roster and their superstars. I don’t think they would want me to damage the careers of the young puppies, you know what I’m saying? So for me, bring me in and let me play with the top dogs. That’s what my mindset is. I could be wrong but, yeah.
That’s actually two guys (GUNTHER & Bron Breakker) that I would love to wrestle. Especially Bron Breakker. We have similar backgrounds. We’re both football players and now we’re doing things — doing the thing we love in pro wrestling so, Bron, he’s amazing. I love his style. I actually just gave him a huge shout out. I saw one of the moves he did on TV. I was like, ‘Oh my God. I don’t even think I could do something like that.’ When he runs up the — and does the ‘rana? I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s nuts.’ But yeah, I think him. GUNTHER is a guy that when he was in the indies, that we never touched, which was very surprising because was definitely a lot of people’s dream match and so he’s definitely somebody else I would love to lock horns with. I think it would be a great matchup. I’ve actually wrestled him (Damian Priest) before, and I don’t remember who won when we wrestled. We were both puppies when we wrestled which was probably like seven years ago so… It was before ROH. It was at an indie show in Philly. We wrestled but I don’t remember what happened in the match. I just know we both were young and green and not so good so, yeah, that would definitely be another good matchup now, now that we’re both very good at pro wrestling.”
Moose also gave his thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and his current plans to wrestle for at least five more years.
“I wanna retire when I’m 45 so a good five years… There’s a lot of gas (left in the tank) and just because I’m retiring at 45, I’m still gonna have a full tank. I just want to live life and enjoy things I never got to do.
I might not retire for good but I’m gonna take a good two, three years off at 45.”
