RD Evans Reportedly Signed Deal with AEW for Creative Job

As noted before, TNA Creative member Robert “RD” Evans departed from TNA Wrestling this past May following issues between Evans and TNA officials over the direction of the company. Evans departure was unrelated to a recent round of layoffs at TNA that took place during that same time period.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Evans recently signed a contract with AEW for a backstage creative role in the company. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Evans was seen working at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show and he is expected to be at tonight’s Dynamite show. Evans reportedly was stated that have been working on backstage segments over the weekend.

Johnson speculated that AEW officials Jimmy Jacobs might have been the conduit for Evans joining the company due to their past history together in TNA.

Swerve Strickland Segment Announced for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

AEW recently announced one new segment for tonight’s AEW Dynamite show at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa.

This new segment announced was a promo segment featuring Swerve Strickland.

Will Ospreay Comments on Future of His Wrestling Career

Justin Walker held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and AEW.

“You saw it straight away, there are things about it that makes it feels different. The fact that we’re able to constantly progress with the times and look at what we’ve done last year and how we can better ourselves. Right now, it feels like this is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most elite roster ever. It’s a five year company and still has growing pains to go through, but this is our growing pains. What are we going to look like in ten years time, in 15 years time, in 20 years time? That’s how long I want to be part of this thing for. I’m still young, still fresh. I definitely feel I can do a Copeland [Adam Copeland] and be wrestling when I’m 50 years old. I definitely think I can. Look at me, I look good, don’t I?”
