Ethan Page Comments on His Recent NXT Debut Appearance & Current WWE Status

As noted before, this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show featured former AEW talent Ethan Page making his surprise official debut for WWE.

Page recently reflected on Twitter about his recent NXT debut appearance and claimed that he has yet to sign a contract for WWE’s NXT brand.

“Everybody saw what I did last night. Literally, everybody. We’re talking millions of views across all social platforms. That’s pretty heavy. I’d even say that it’s a bit of buying power for Ethan Page. Especially because, contrary to popular belief, Ethan Page has not signed with any company or any contract. I’m gonna just assume that Trick Williams would love to get a little payback and revenge on Ethan Page, so NXT I’m gonna leave this one to you. The ball is in your court and All Ego is all ears. I’m gonna assume somebody in that company has my number. I’ll wait for the call.”

Page’s comments about his lack of a NXT deal is only for storyline purposes due to both PWInsider and Fightful Select had recently reported that Page is currently under a contract with WWE for their NXT brand.

In a recent interview with the Battleground Podcast, Tiffany Stratton gave her thoughts about Jordynne Grace’s recent appearance in NXT and enjoying the idea of more wrestlers from different promotions showing up on WWE shows. Stratton stated “Yeah, I think it’s so cool that we have people coming over from different promotions and stuff like that. I definitely feel like it brings more eyes on the company, for sure, but it also kind of broadens our roster. I feel like Roxanne Perez vs. Jordynne Grace is a match people have in their dream matches before and they’re both in separate companies and the fact that maybe the possibility is there to get other talents from different companies. I feel like opens up so many different dream match opportunities and stuff like that. So I think it’s very cool.” Stratton also gave her thoughts about who from other promotions she would like to have a dream match against. Stratton stated “I do love what Toni Storm is doing. I respect so much of her in-ring work and as well as Deonna Purrazzo.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
