Black Taurus Makes ROH Return Under New Ring Name at Supercard of Honor 2024

Friday’s Supercard of Honor 2024 event for Ring of Honor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured Black Taurus making his official return to the company.

During the Zero Hour Pre-show, Taurus came out for a singles match against Blake Christian sporting a new mask and ring name of The Beast Mortos.

This was Taurus’ first appearance in ROH since this past December’s Final Battle 2023.

In regards to the reason for Black Taurus’ new character and ring name, this was due to trademark-relates issues involving Lucha Libre AAA owning the Black Taurus and Taurus names.

Billie Starks Wins ROH Women’s TV Title at Supercard of Honor 2024

Friday’s Supercard of Honor 2024 event also featured Billie Starkz defeating Queen Aminata in the Finals of the ROH Women’s World Television Championship tournament to be crowned the inaugural champion.

Near the end of the match, Starkz attempted a Swanton to Aminata, who blocked it by putting her knees up. This led to Starkz complaining about her neck and the match being stopped as ringside doctors attended to Starkz.

After some medical attention including a neck brace being placed around her neck, Starkz was assited to the ropes that was held open by Aminata. While Aminata had her back turned to Starkz, Starkz revealed that this was just a ruse by her and attacked Aminata. Starkz then locked in a sleeper for the referee stoppage victory to become the inaugural ROH Women’s World TV Champion.

Monstersauce & Minoru Suzuki Makes Surprise Appearance at Supercard of Honor 2024

Friday’s Supercard of Honor 2024 event also featured Monstersauce and Minoru Suzuki making a surprise appearance.

During the show, it was announced that the Bang Bang Gang would be making an non-advertised appearance and would be defending their ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship in an open challenge match.

After Bang Bang Gang came out for their match, Monstersauce’s music played revealing Lance Archer & Alex Zayne answering the challenge.

Archer stated that while they’d like to win the titles, they did not come alone and revealed Suzuki as their partner for the match.

Mark Briscoe Wins ROH World Title at Supercard of Honor 2024

Friday’s Supercard of Honor 2024 event also featured Mark Briscoe defeating Eddie Kingston to become the new ROH World Champion.

Briscoe’s victory came exactly eleven years to the day of his late brother Jay’s first ever ROH World Championship victory.

Following the match, streamers showered the ring as several people from backstage and members of Briscoe’s family came out to celebrate with him in the ring. After some hugs, Briscoe went up to Kingston and the two hugged over their hard fought match and Briscoe’s victory. The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven and Mike Bennett hoisted up Briscoe on their shoulders as the show went to a close.
