AEW held a new television taping for AEW Collision on Wednesday at the Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Huntsville, Alabama.
This taping will be for this Saturday’s episode on March 2nd.
This taping was held following that night’s Dynamite show in the same venue.
Full results from AEW Collision tapings on February 28th:
- Eight-Man Tag Team match – Christian Cage, Killswitch, Roderick Strong, & Brian Cage defeated Orange Cassidy, Trent Beretta, HOOK, & Daniel Garcia. Near the end of the match, Nick Wayne interfered and distracted Beretta leading to Killswitch hitting a clothesline to the back of Beretta’s head for the pinfall victory. Following the match, The Undisputed Kingdom attacked Cassidy while Cage attacked HOOK. Killswitch setup a chokeslam to Garcia onto a chair that was stopped by Matt Menard but led to Menard being chokeslammed instead through the chair.
- Buddy Matthews vs. mystery competitor went to a No Contest following Mark Briscoe attacking Matthews before the match. This led to Briscoe and Matthews engaging in a wild brawl. This brawl featured Briscoe attempting to hit Matthews with a spike that was stopped by House of Black and afterwards tried to burn Matthews with the stage pyro setup only to be stopped by security. House of Black managed to escape right when Briscoe managed to set off all the pyro on the stage.
- All-Star Scramble Three-way Qualifier match – Dante Martin defeated Penta El Zero Miedo and “The Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith. Martin pinned Keith with a Frog Splash.
- Thunder Rosa defeated Cassandra Golden
- Private Party (Marq Quen & Isaiah Kassidy) defeated Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal. During the match, Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett came out and Lethal attacked Sydal while Jarrett distracted Daniels and the referee. Following the match, Private Party appeared to now be aligned with Jarrett’s group.
- Mariah May defeated Angelica Risk
- AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm came out to the ring and called out Deonna Purrazzo to come out to the ring. Following Purrazzo coming out, Storm acted like their upcoming match was not important enough to come between their longtime friendship. Storm told Purrazzo that she lover her wrestling and who she is but there can only be one AEW Women’s champion and it will never be Purrazzo. Purrazzo responded stating that she is the best friend and the worst enemy and claimed that she was going to break both of Storm’s arms. Storm responded with a kiss goodbye and then engaged in a brawl. This led to Mariah May running out trying to save Storm only to be laid out with a piledriver by Purrazzo.
- AEW interviewer Tony Schiavone called for Wardlow for an in-ring interview segment. Wardlow came out to the ring and claimed that he would win the All-Star Scramble and proceeded to insult Hangman Page, Swerve Strickland, and AEW World Champion Samoa Joe. Wardlow then stated he has a chance of becoming the AEW World Champion and complained about being overlooked and pushed aside. After some more words, Chris Jericho came out to interrupt and proceeded to insult Wardlow claiming that the reason he couldn’t become champion was due to him not being good enough. Wardlow stated that he was this “close” to being to the top of the mountain and after Double or Nothing it was a step backwards over and over. Wardlow stated that this pissed him and he let it ruin his personal life and he lost himself and his best friend. Wardlow then stated that he sat at home for three months with no explanation and slowly remembered who he was. Wardlow continued stating that he picked himself up and put himself back together to remind everyone who he is. Wardlow then stated that he was done eating the scraps of everyone who tries to push the AEW Originals aside. Jericho responded that he was in AEW before Wardlow and challenge him to a fight. This led to Powerhouse Hobbs running out and attacked Jericho.
- Bang Bang Scissor Gang (Anthony Bowens, Max Caster, & Austin Gunn) defeated The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, John Silver, & Evil Uno)
