Hangman Page Gives Injury Update & Fakes Pulling Out of AEW World Title Match at Revolution 2024
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured Hangman Adam Page providing an update regarding his “injury” status for this Sunday’s Revolution 2024 event.
Page came out walking with a crutch to the ring and gave a speech talking about how his current appearance is not a good start for what he has to say. Page then talked about what AEW has meant to him and brought up how his AEW World Championship victory in 2021 was a big moment and the biggest accomplishment of his career. Page then stated that getting to have that opportunity in front of him again is why what he has to say hurts so much. Page stated that due to the injury he had suffered at last week’s show, he will not be able to compete at Revolution 2024 for the AEW World title. Page also stated that when AEW made that match as a three-way, he decried the decision and still feels that it should have been a singles match. Page also stated that he will not apologize to Swerve Strickland or Samoa Joe.

This led to Page being interrupted by Strickland and Prince Nana, who came out to the ring. Strickland grabbed a microphone and proceeded to talk about their battles over the past several months and how Page’s injury was something he did not expect to happen. Strickland then stated that he had targeted Hangman because of his reputation and claimed that to say he does not respect Page would be a lie. Strickland then stated that you can not change fate and you can not change destiny and claimed that he will become the new AEW World Champion.
“The funny thing about fate, is that you can’t escape it.”

This led to AEW World Champion Samoa Joe coming out to interrupt and after several insults directed towards Strickland and Page, Joe stated that Page and Strickland are hungry accomplished wrestlers but they need to realize the only reason they are hungry is because he is starving them because he is the AEW World Champion. Strickland responded back stating that after he beats Joe for the title, Joe can go back to wearing a poncho on commentary, in reference to Joe wearing a poncho at WWE WrestleMania 37. After some more words by Strickland, Page attacked Strickland from behind with his crutch revealing that his injury was just a ruse and yelled out to Joe and a knocked out Strickland that he will be the AEW World Champion after Revolution.

Crow Sting Makes Appearance at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Sting making a special appearance as his iconic Crow Sting character.
Throughout the show, the Young Bucks stated that they were going to hold an “exit interview” meeting tonight with Sting for his final appearance on Dynamite. This meeting was teased by them to just be them attacking Sting and Darby Allin with baseball bats that they were carrying throughout the show.
During the show’s main event, the Young Bucks came out to confront Sting one last time before their AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Revolution 2024. As the Young Bucks passed by several people in the crowd wearing Sting masks, one of them took off their mask revealing himself to be Allin and a brawl broke out.
Following the Young Bucks getting the upper hand on Allin and beating him down, Ric Flair came out and teased joining the Young Bucks’ attack in Allin. This was revealed to have just been a ruse by Flair who proceeded to attack the Young Bucks instead. After the Young Bucks managed regain the upper hand and beatdown Flair, Sting’s music interrupted leading to the Young Bucks leaving the ring and waiting for Sting to come out from the entrance. While the Young Bucks were distracted, Sting came down from the rafters into the ring in homage to his iconic Crow Sting character from his WCW days. Sting proceeded to stare down the Young Bucks and engaged in a brawl with Allin joining in helping out Sting. Sting hit a Scorpion Death Drop to Nicholas Jackson and cleared the ring of the Young Bucks as the show closed with Sting, Allin, and Flair standing tall.
For one final time, @Sting descends from the rafters and gets revenge on those who did him wrong
