CMLL Stars Attack Jon Moxley at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured CMLL talents Místico, Máscara Dorada, Volador Jr., and Hechicero making an appearance at ringside at the start of the show.
Following Moxley’s victory over Jeff Hardy in the opening match, Místico, Máscara Dorada, Volador Jr., and Hechicero all jumped over the barricade and proceeded to attack Moxley. This led to security coming out trying to stop the attack only for them to be quickly attacked and tossed out of the ring instead. This then led to several of AEW’s locker room running out to save Moxley resulting in the CMLL guys leaving the ring before they could do anything. A heated staredown then took place between the two groups before the CMLL guys left.
With no other members of the BCC to protect him, the Stars of CMLL aren't going to take Jon Moxley's disrespect lightly!

RVD Makes Surprise Return at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured ECW legend Rob Van Dam making his surprise return appearance to AEW.
RVD’s appearance was initially teased by Hangman Adam Page during this past Saturday’s Collision show when he mentioned that Swerve Strickland will have to wait until possibly the “whole f’n show” in regards to who his Dealer’s Choice opponent will be at Wednesday’s show.
During tonight’s show, Strickland came out to the ring first for his match. After a small pause, RVD’s “Walk” theme played revealing that he was the mystery opponent. Before the match could officially start, Page showed up on the big screen and revealed that not only did he get to pick the opponent, he also got to pick the match’s rules and stated that Strickland will be competing in a Hardcore match. This led to RVD chucking a chair right at Strickland’s head right afterwards and the bell ringing.
It’s RVD! Who knew RVD and Hangman Adam Page were buds!

Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Adam Page & More Announced for Feb. 7th Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured two new matches officially announced for the card of next week’s Dynamite show on February 7th in Phoenix, Arizona.
The first new match announced was a Trios match of Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Bryan Danielson, & Claudio Castagnoli) vs. Mistico, Volador Jr, & Hechicero.
This match was setup following CMLL stars attacking Moxley earlier in the show and a match graphic revealed for it afterwards.
The second new match announced is an AEW World Championship #1 Contender’s match of Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Adam Page.
This match was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving Page and Strickland. Page congratulated Strickland for his victory over RVD and stated that he will make sure that Strickland does not achieve his goal of becoming the next AEW World Champion because he wants to be the one who defeats Samoa Joe. Strickland stated that he has nothing left to prove to Page since he already beat him twice and walked away. Before Strickland was able to leave the ring, Page responded that the only reason why Strickland beat him twice was due to him having help from the Mogul Embassy and claimed that if it was a fair one-on-one, Strickland could not lace his boots. This led to an angry Strickland confronting Page and stating that if Page wants another match, then fine he agrees and claimed that after he beats Page again, he will go on to become the next AEW World Champion. Following their promo, it was announced that this match was made official for next week’s show and the winner will get to face Joe for the AEW World title at this March’s Revolution 2024 event.
Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland have one final message for each other before the Rankings get released later tonight!
